Leona Lewis admits soft spot for Gary Barlow

Leona Lewis has admitted that she has a soft spot for Gary Barlow.

The 'Bleeding Love' singer, who recently joined the X-Factor judging panel at one of the audition rounds, told the show’s official website that she was pleased to team up with the Take That star again:

“I have such a soft spot for Gary. I got on the best with him. He’s such an astounding songwriter and person. I’ll never forget performing with him as a contestant on The X Factor – it was truly magical.”

The 27-year-old, who this week debuted the video to her new single, 'Trouble,' also went on to describe the experience of being a judge on the series that launched her career:

“Initially, it felt really alien to be sat behind that desk. I quickly got used to it. The judges were lovely. Tulisa was really friendly and it was great to hang out with Louis again.

“I think I’m the most sensitive judge. I’m honest but also emphatic. I’ve been in the contestants’ positions so I don’t like to be brutal. I take a softly-softly approach.”

Gary Barlow has hinted to fans that he plans to go on a solo tour later this year.

The X Factor judge wouldn't reveal details of dates or venues.

The singer replied a fan on Twitter after being asked if he would be touring: "'Are you gonna be doing solo gigs this year?? @GBarlowOfficial' *yes*."

Barlow performed two solo shows last December at London's Royal Albert Hall.

He also told fans that he would be visiting venues in the "north" and that there would be London dates as well.

The 41-year-old recently suffered tragedy after his fourth child was stillborn.

The Take That singer and his wife Dawn, named their daughter Poppy.

Barlow was one of the stars who surprised Chris Moyles during his penultimate Radio 1 breakfast show.

Simon Cowell apparently ridiculed Gary Barlow when he was awarded an OBE after organising the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert.

The TV mogul is said to have been so irritated at the news he began bad-mouthing the X Factor judge.

In an attack that underlines their bitter rivalry, he also apparently declared he missed the gig in June as he was not a fan of the acts – which included Gary and Cheryl Cole.

Simon Cowell Irritated: Cowell

His alleged jibes were made in the explosive new chapter of Cowell’s biography Sweet Revenge.

Author Tom Bower writes: “The announcement that Barlow would receive an OBE for arranging the event added to his irritation. ‘He chased that madly to get three initials after his name,’ he carped.”

Bower, who joined Cowell for a year while researching the book, also claimed Simon was annoyed at ITV boss Peter Fincham for rehiring Gary, 41, as he believed the singer was bidding to build an entertainment empire to rival his SyCo.

The book, which previously included details of Cowell’s affair with ex-judge Dannii Minogue, claims: “The ambitions of Barlow, he believed, were comical. Ever since Barlow had clawed his way back after a disastrous attempt to become a solo star, Cowell was niggled by his conviction that Barlow was bidding to establish a rival entertainment empire and, like Paul McCartney, secure a knighthood.

“He enjoyed snubbing the man who foolishly asserted that he was the top judge, not Louis Walsh, by texting his criticism about Barlow to others.”

Cowell, 52, is also said to have expressed his delight when the singer was revealed to have used an alleged tax avoidance scheme in June.

Gary has always insisted the tax scheme – also used by Take That bandmates Howard Donald and Mark Owen – was not illegal and they only joined it following expert advice.

But the biography claims Cowell sniped: “You’ve got to be able to sleep at night.” And he was apparently irritated when Gary was not criticised more openly by ITV over the row.

The book reveals Cowell sent a fierce reminder to the singer, who is also a judge on the X Factor, that he remained “on the payroll” and was obliged to follow his instructions.

Bower said the TV chief told his employee “that’s what you’re paid to do” in a sharply-worded memo.

Bower’s new chapter, entitled Self-Doubt, was added to the paperback edition of the book and covers Cowell’s efforts to improve the fortunes of X Factor USA after hiring superstar Britney Spears as a judge.

Details of his controversial production methods show how contestants and scenes are manipulated.

A spokesperson for Cowell insisted yesterday: “This biography is unauthorised.”

Gary Barlow is to team up with the Military Wives and Andrew Lloyd Webber at the Classic Brit Awards next month.

Gary and Lord Lloyd Webber are to appear on stage playing grand pianos as they perform the chart-topping single they composed for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Sing.

The track was recorded with artists from around the world in many locations and featured the Military Wives choir. Gareth Malone will conduct the performance at the Royal Albert Hall on October 2.

Gary said: "The Classic Brits is something I've never done before, so I'm very excited to be a part of it.

"It'll be nice to get everyone back together for a performance of Sing as we've only ever performed it once together live."

The song is up for single of the year at the awards event.

Also announced to join the line-up of performers at the event, officially called the Classic Brit Awards 2012 with MasterCard is Russell Watson.

He had to cancel an appearance the night before last year's show due to ill health.

Gary Barlow and Benedict Cumberbatch are to feature in YouView's £10m launch advertising campaign this weekend, as the long-delayed video-on-demand service attempts to convince consumers that it represents the future of TV.

YouView – a joint venture between the BBC, ITV, BT, Channel 4, Channel 5, Arqiva and TalkTalk – aims to replace Freeview as a subscription-free interactive TV service to rival pay-TV giants BSkyB and Virgin Media.

The launch campaign will focus heavily on TV advertising. Spots have been bought during ITV1's The X Factor on Saturday with ads running simultaneously on Channel 4 and Channel 5, supported by a national newspaper and poster campaign.

YouView's TV ad features stars and characters from the biggest shows the venture partners air – including The X Factor's Barlow, Sherlock's Cumberbatch, Doctor Who's Daleks, , Dallas's Larry Hagman and Downton Abbey – seen projected on buildings across the UK.

"This is YouView hitting the public airwaves," said the YouView chief executive, Richard Halton. "The brand is well-known in the media village but now it is about the public. The scale of the marketing budget is pretty heavy from launch. TV is still the biggest medium for reaching a mass audience, especially for launching a brand no one has really heard of."

A series of press and poster ads aim to reinforce YouView features such as recording shows, catch-up TV and on-demand content.

A prime target for the campaign is the 10m-plus Freeview households that might be persuaded to upgrade to an enhanced TV service.

The ad campaign runs with the strapline "Extraordinary for everyone".

YouView's marketing budget was officially set in late 2009 at £48.4m up to the end of four years of operation, according to BBC Trust documents. The partners agreed to invest up to £115m between them over the same period.

However, YouView's longer-than-expected development period, means that the partners have already spent £70m between them, according to the project's chairman Sir Alan Sugar. The launch comes more than 18 months after initial business plan projections of early 2011.

This leaves about £45m to spend over the next four years, with the marketing budget a casualty. Halton refused to comment on the scale of the budget, but admitted that it would not be anywhere near the original 2009 figure.

Media buying sources estimate the budget could have dropped by about half, but that YouView will need to commit at least £10m in its first year to give the brand a chance of establishing itself.

YouView's ad campaign has been created by Adam & Eve, the agency most famous for John Lewis's Christmas ads, with media planning and buying by OMD.

YouView boxes went on sale in 800 stores, including John Lewis, Argos and Comet, in July priced at £299. Their maker, Humax, recently dropped the price to £279 and some observers expect the price to be lowered further still in the runup to Christmas.

At a launch briefing for the media in July, Sugar said that he expected much of the marketing effort to be made by BT and TalkTalk when they launched ad campaigns to push their YouView boxes to customers.

TalkTalk and BT are effectively offering their YouView set-top boxes for free to customers who sign up for bundled packages of TV, broadband and phone line.

Gary Barlow 'never' has to look for work
Gary Barlow ''never'' has to look for work and is lucky enough to only have to take on projects which ''excite'' him.
Gary Barlow ''never'' has to look for work.
The Take That singer is currently judging 'X Factor', co-writing songs for Robbie Williams and has performed 'Forever Autumn' and 'The Eve of War' on Jeff Wayne's 'War of the Worlds' album - a reboot of his 1978 record based on the 1898 H.G. Wells musical - and he was delighted to be able to contribute to the record, despite his ''busy'' schedule.
He said: ''I'm a little bit busy at the moment. I'm never looking for work, I'm looking for stuff that excites me, and this excited me greatly and I'm really proud to be part of it.
''The production is mind blowing, it really is. When I first listened to it with Jeff I was blown away, it really is fantastic.
''I was such a massive fan when this originally came out. I was obviously really, really excited and honoured to be asked. Learning from Jeff, who has so much knowledge and experience has been brilliant.''
The 41-year-old musician admits the 'War of the Worlds' album takes him back to his childhood because the original record had a ''massive'' influence on the early part of his career.
Speaking in an interview with UK station BBC Radio 2, he added: ''It's almost revisiting a childhood dream for me, I used to play the song when I played in the social clubs, I used to sing it a lot and it was kind of the thing got me off the piano and interested in synthesisers so it was such a massive part of my career.''

Although he admitted he’s not sure whether he will do another TV talent search, as he is currently busy writing his next musical - The Profumo Affair - Andrew admitted he does occasionally watch The X Factor, starring his good friend Gary Barlow.

And it seems Gary Barlow was in part responsible for the return of Jesus Christ Superstar, as Andrew admitted: “It was sort of Gary in a way who turned me on to trying to get this together, because I was so impressed with what he did with that Take That Circus tour, which was wonderful, and I thought “do you know what? I’m a theatre animal I should be able to take it further.”

“I genuinely think what we’ve got here has taken this further.”

This was meant to be Gary Barlow's quiet year. Take That were taking a break, and although a certain concert was on the horizon, it felt as if he had already done most of the preparation. Instead, he says, it's been "madness". Amid everything - receiving an OBE, playing at the closing ceremony of the Olympics - it's not hard to guess what event stands out.

"It's got to be the Jubilee. Really it has," he says, still flabbergasted by what he pulled off. After planning the concert for 19 months he actually missed most of it. His attempts to watch from his dressing room were distracted by a flood of visitors. "So many of the artists were coming in and saying, 'This is brilliant! I can't believe it!'" He managed to drag himself away for the "surreal" climax, when he was surrounded by the likes of Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. "You look down the line and there's Prince Charles. The crowd was all down the Mall - as far as you could see, people's heads. Now I just sit and think, 'That's probably as good as it's gonna get.' I'm still celebrating."

Two weeks later, in mid-June, the announcement of his OBE granted cause for further celebration. Can we expect to see Sir - or even Lord - Gary Barlow in the future? "I never want to get to the point where I think, 'I've done it all now and I've been awarded - I'm done, good night.'"

There was little time for gloating, as Jubilee preparations - which included work on "Sing", his chart-topping collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber, and an accompanying BBC documentary - were quickly followed by auditions for The X Factor. If his maiden series on the show proved difficult - "I'm not an easily stressed person but that stressed me out" - he's learnt to relax. "I've had more fun than I've had for years. I used to dread the live shows every week, but I'm going to own it this time."

To cap it all, he has a GQ Men Of The Year award to place next to the OBE. How does it feel? "Amazing. I always go to these things and spend the night dreading my award coming. I'm going to bloody enjoy this one."

Hallmark and Daybreak call out for young card-making talent to join celeb six-pack

Want to be in Gary Barlow’s ‘pack’ with Tulisa, The Saturdays, Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden and more? A nationwide ‘Sketch Santa’ contest is this week calling out for children from across the UK to join five celebrities in designing their very own Christmas card which will be sold as a pack in aid of charity…but they’ve got to be quick, it closes on the 9th October!

The ‘Sketch Santa’ competition, launched by ITV1’s Daybreak, Hallmark and Asda, offers children aged 6-16 a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have their drawings brought to life as a card this Christmas, with the winner announced on national TV.

Together with designs from five famous faces and groups, including Gary Barlow, Tulisa, The Saturdays, Matthew Wolfenden and Daybreak presenters Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones, the winning artwork will form a charity card six-pack sold as the official product for ITV’s ‘Text Santa’ appeal 2012. Available nationwide from Hallmark and Asda stores, as well as www.hallmark.co.uk, each pack sold will see a portion of the proceeds donated to the ‘Text Santa’ appeal; which in turn supports six worthy charities.

Entries must be made before 6pm on Tuesday the 9th October and each entry must include Santa-inspired artwork on the face of the card, a seasonal verse to go inside and an entry form. The lucky winner, announced on ITV1’s Daybreak in November, will also have captured what Christmas means to them within their design.

Jo Bennett is the Creative Director at Hallmark, the card and gift specialist helping to create and print the winning design. Speaking about the ‘Sketch Santa’ campaign, she said:

“Christmas is a magical time for children to unleash their creativity and ‘Sketch Santa’ provides the perfect excuse to start early! Not only could you get to see your (or your little-one’s) design brought to life, alongside some of the UK’s best-known celebrities, you’ll also be helping to raise money for six extremely worthy charities in the process; charities that will change the lives of thousands of people across the UK.

“This is the second year we’ve had the honour of working with ITV, following the fantastic success of the Art Stars competition in 2011. Knowing how high the quality of entries was last year, we’re really looking forward to seeing what mantelpiece masterpieces lurk in this year’s entries. We hope to see just as many families getting involved once again this Christmas to show their support for ‘Text Santa’ – I just wish I was young enough to enter!”

The ‘Text Santa’ appeal aims to raise awareness and donations for UK charities who can help make a difference to people's lives. For 2012, the six chosen charities set to benefit from funds raised include, Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Carers UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Together for Short Lives and Whizz-Kidz.

Barbara Anglim, Asda's festive buying manager, said: "From our partnership with Text Santa last year, we know our shoppers love getting behind this amazing charity campaign and will definitely be encouraging their children to enter 'Sketch Santa'. This competition is such a fantastic way to involve young people and raise their awareness of ‘Text Santa’ so we're very proud to be part of it. We expect these very special packs of Christmas cards to fly off our shelves faster than Santa off a chimney and raise lots of money for the incredible charities."

Full details of the competition, entry forms and guidelines will be held on www.itv.com/daybreak. Further information, and behind the scenes news, will also be shared on www.facebook.com/hallmarkuk .

He also spoke about his relationship with Robbie Williams who put Craig through to the live shows with Barlow..

THE air turned blue in Southend as TV chef Jamie Oliver and celebrity farmer Jimmy Doherty dressed as Smurfs to take Gary Barlow on Adventure Island rollercoaster Rage this afternoon.

The X Factor judge and Take That frontman was the latest celebrity to film for the pair’s show, Jimmy’s Food Fight Club, which will air next month, before taking a ride at the seafront amusement park today.

Gary Barlow tweeted pictures of himself with Jamie and with a sausage in the cafe kitchen, saying: “Been in Jamie’s kitchen this morning!”

The three stars stepped off the rollercoaster covered in food but laughing after taking on bags of chips and milkshakes.

Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow also tried Rage when she filmed for the show last month and camp comedian Alan Carr got his hands dirty in the kitchen a fortnight ago.

Saturday night’s best-dressed entertainer takes our title for looking super sharp.

He’s far too modest to say it, but the most gratifying element of the Gary Barlow as clothes horse evolution must be is how unlikely a fashion icon the Take That lead man was back in the early 1990s. Back then – a quick Google should rejog the memory – Gary rocked a Billy Idol peroxide quiff, modelled the tight white tee not seen outside of gay clubs and styled out that all important, edgy ear stud. Nice.

Flash forward to 2012; 41-year-old Gary Barlow doesn’t so much rock as ooze utter class in his sartorial selection. Whatever the occasion – the Queen’s Jubilee, The Olympics Closing Ceremony, pretty much anchoring Saturday night television – Gary has turned it on in incredible style cherry picking the best in British high end to high street fashion from Vivienne Westwood to Topman and then going all out in a Dolce & Gabbana three piece, Dermot be damned.

They say the clothes maketh the man but it helps that the man also gives a weekly master class in male grooming. Every Saturday night from now to Christmas, you can expect to find Gary Barlow modelling just right stubble, a super sharp haircut and seeming for all the world like this healthy, lightly tanned look took all of ten minutes. It’s simple, stylish and hell, it’s downright sexy. GB, we salute you!

You can read a full interview with Gary Barlow in our Awards Issue, in shops and on ipad Friday, October 19.

Welcome
Gary Barlow is honoured on 5 November 2012 with the
21st Music Industry Trusts Award

Gary Barlow, musician, songwriter and producer, is to be honoured with the 21st Music Industry Trusts Award. This prestigious award is presented to Gary Barlow in recognition of his services to British music and charity. The Award will be presented on Monday 5 November, at a charity dinner in London at the Grosvenor House Hotel, in aid of Nordoff Robbins and the BRIT Trust. Last year’s Award recipient was Jools Holland.

David Munns, chairman of the Award committee, said:
"We are delighted to honour Gary Barlow with the Music Industry Trusts Award for 2012. He is one of the UK’s most accomplished artists – a unique musician, songwriter and producer who embodies both success and distinction, and who serves as a dedicated ambassador for many charities. It’s probably true to say that, in what is already a remarkable career, 2012 has been like no other year for Gary. I can’t think of another artist who works with both Simon Cowell and Her Majesty The Queen; eventful is an understatement."

Gary Barlow OBE, musician, songwriter, producer and X Factor Judge, stunned BRIT School pupils today when he paid them a visit. The BRIT School and Nordoff Robbins are the two charities that benefit from the highly prestigious Music Industry Trusts Award, and this year’s honouree is Gary Barlow. Gary also visited the Nordoff Robbins music therapy unit which is located on The Brit School site.

Gary Barlow said “It is so great to see music and arts working for kids from a wide range of backgrounds. This school is totally unique – I can’t believe the amount of classes that are on offer. I was particularly keen to see the Nordoff Robins Therapy Unit. We all know that music can relax and help people in all sorts of circumstances and this unit specializes in helping children and adults, from 0-70 years of age, overcome illness and trauma”

During his hour and a half tour of the school and music therapy unit, Gary took part in a songwriting and Q&A session with students, and participated in a parent toddler music therapy group in the Nordoff Robbins unit. His tour guides were two students Yaw Asante and Rebecca Gee who showed Gary the many different facilities and classes that are on offer at the school. Gary also met Stuart Worden, The BRIT School principle and Lindsay McHale, music therapist and Head of Music Services for the South East.

The 21st Music Industry Trusts Award will be presented to Gary Barlow on 5 November at the Grosvenor House, at a sold out gala dinner attended by over 1000 guests drawn from the UK entertainment industry. Gary Barlow is being honoured as ‘one of Britain’s most accomplished creators – a unique musician, songwriter and producer who embodies both success and distinction, and who serves as a dedicated ambassador for many charities.’
Previous Music Industry Trusts Award recipients include Sir George Martin, Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin, Sir Tom Jones, John Barry, Kylie, Ahmet Ertegun, Jools Holland and Sir Michael Parkinson.

Ещё одна знаменитсть написала мемуары и упомянула о Робби и о Гари - комик David Walliams!
Он написал в своих мемуарах о знакомстве с Робби и о ом как был с ним в поездке в Россию.
Занятно было бы почитать)
A very interesting part is how he became friends with Robbie Williams and subsequently ended up in Russia in the singers hotel room. Their intimate discussion, drawn from the actors diary at the time is extraordinarily moving.
The first meeting with other bandmate Gary Barlow was quite different. There are the meetings with his comedy icons (alive and sadly deceased) Frankie Howerd, Kenny Everett, Rowan Atkinson and Dame Edna star Barry Humphries.

Gary Barlow believes he has an ''extreme'' sense of style, as he is just as comfortable in a tracksuit as he is in a suit.

Gary Barlow thinks he has ''extreme'' style.

The Take that frontman - whose weight has yo-yoed in the past - admits he changes what he likes to wear on a regular basis but is just as comfortable in a tracksuit as he is a three-piece suit.

He said: ''My style is extreme. Sometimes extremely good, sometimes extremely bad. Some days I go from being at home in a pair of tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt to getting dressed in a three-piece suit with a tie and a tie clip - so it's extreme.''

Now that Gary is skinny, he admits clothes fit him better and he finds he enjoy shopping more.

He told Attitude magazine: ''One of the brilliant things of being at an ideal weight is that a wh0le new set of clothes is available to me now.

''Every designer has got something for you, whereas in the past there were only a couple of things I could get into. So it's like being in a sweet shop, really, for me now, and I really enjoy wearing the clothes and feeling good about what I'm wearing.''

Шарлота Черч наезжает на Гари
Former opera star Charlotte Church has revealed she didn't enjoy working with Take That star Gary Barlow as she was pressured into making pop music.

The 26-year-old Welsh singer hit the studio with X Factor judge Gary in 2005 for her fifth studio album Tissues and Issues, but looking back, Charlotte says she was "heartbroken" with the type of music she was expected to record with the singer.

"I workshopped some ideas with Gary. The results were pretty depressing really," Charlotte told Q magazine.

"With 'Tissues and Issues' I was disappointed while I was making the sodding thing. I was 18 and, really, still a baby."

"Sony sent me to work with all kinds of people. A songwriter played me 'Crazy Chick' which I f***ing hated. But he sent it to the record company too," Charlotte continued to explain.

"They said, 'It's sooo you, Charlotte', insisted it would be a massive hit and made me record it. And then when I delivered the rest of the album, the A&R said, 'It's alright, I suppose.' I was heartbroken."

In an attempt to revive her music career, Charlotte has now relaunched herself as a rock artist and says she hopes never to have to perform her pop songs again.

"'Crazy Chick' is the song I despise most, because it was written to exploit the tabloid caricature I had become. That song and 'Pie Jesu' will never pass my lips again," Charlotte admitted.

Meanwhile, Charlotte was recently caught up in the Rupert Murdoch newspaper phone hacking scandal, over which she won £600,000 in damages after settling her case.

Shortly after the court's decision, Charlotte released a statement in which she slammed the culprits for not regretting their actions.

"In my opinion, they are not truly sorry, only sorry they got caught," Charlotte said.

"It seems they have learned nothing, and I would have learned nothing more from an actual trial since it was clear that no-one from News International was prepared to take the stand to explain their actions."

Gary Barlow Lands Top Industry Award

Sir Elton John and Robbie Williams teamed up in London on Monday night (05Nov12) to pay tribute to Gary Barlow as he accepted the prestigious Music Industry Trusts Award.

The Take That star followed in the footsteps of stars including the Rocket Man hitmaker, Sir Tom Jones and Kylie Minogue by landing the honour, in recognition of his songwriting, his charity work and the star-studded Diamond Jubilee Concert he organised for Queen Elizabeth Ii in June (12).

And it was Sir Elton himself who presented Barlow with the trophy at a glitzy gala in the U.K. capital.

Barlow told the audience, "I've been doing this for 22 years now, and the one thing that's more apparent to me than ever before is how much I love performing.

"To be able to do it, I feel really lucky, I never want to turn my back on it. It's so special when you get something like this, because it's recognised within the industry. I'm a lover of this industry, I'd do anything to protect it and when you're given something from that industry, I'm honoured."

Charles, Prince of Wales also paid tribute to Barlow's talent via video link, stating, "You have become one of the great stars of the British music industry and you are the very embodiment of that rare species, a national treasure."

Barlow then took to the stage with his Take That bandmates to perform a string of their hits. Williams, who joined his former group at the event, wrote on his Twitter.com page, "There is nothing better than having the band back together for a moment."

GARY Barlow is not ready to approve a Take That-themed stage musical - because he wants his band to keep telling their own story.

The 41-year-old insisted the lads won't yet be following the Spice Girls, who are about to become the latest pop act to feature in a spectacular in London's West End.

Gary, who played a spectacular solo show at London's Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday - is focused on getting Take That back on the road in the new year.

"A musical has been mooted before as we have a good story to tell," he said. "But I've heard too many bad versions of Relight My Fire to see it being any time soon."

I caught up with the showman before he wowed fans with a masterclass that should be compulsory for all X Factor wannabes.

The reality show judge told me: "The tour has been brilliant. I feel every night I'm saying: 'That was the best night.'

"It's nice to play live again as it's a good antidote for me from being on telly and just talking to get out and sing and back to what I do."

Pal Robbie Williams, 38, joined Gary for his solo set and the 41-year-old is looking forward to seeing Rob's own stadium tour next year.

"Stadiums are where Rob belongs," he said.

"He is a stadium act. I was down at the O2 on Friday to see him and thinking how amazing it is that all of us are doing stuff all these years on and such a high level. I'm so proud of him."

Gary also admitted a bit of love for former X Factor contestant Rylan Clark - although he denied the 24-year-old's claims that their scraps were just for the cameras.

"Rylan might have been bantering from his part, but at the beginning I meant it," he said.

"But I did warm to him by the end - he was a really lovely guy.

"Mind you, I probably wouldn't write him a Eurovision song."

But he's chuffed his remaining act Christopher Maloney, 35, is the favourite to take the X Factor crown.

"I keep waiting every Sunday night going: 'This is it for us' but he keeps going," said Gary.

"People like him. He's a good singer."

Not a patch on you though, Gaz.

Sharon Osbourne has crush on Gary Barlow

Sharon Osbourne has confessed she would ''like to have sex'' with Gary Barlow and admits she has a huge crush on the Take That singer.

Sharon Osbourne has a huge crush on Gary Barlow.

The 60-year-old star thinks the Take That singer - who is a judge on 'The X Factor' UK, the same pop star search show on which she used to mentor - is a real hunk and she would love to get him into bed.

In an interview with the new issue of heat magazine, she said: ''I'd definitely like to have sex with Gary! He's very attractive! I think he needs an older woman.''

Sharon still keeps track of what's happening on 'The X Factor' and although she loves looking at Gary, 41, she thinks the programme misses its creator Simon Cowell, who is currently judging the American version of the series.

She revealed: ''It's a very, very different show without Simon. I think he'd like to come back. He misses the UK a lot, and let's face it, he is 'The X Factor'.''

Meanwhile, Sharon - who is married to rocker Ozzy Osbourne - has revealed her daughter Kelly has become broody since her brother Jack and his wife Lisa welcomed their daughter Pearl into the world in April.

Kelly is in a relationship with vegan chef Matthew Mosshart and Sharon believes it's only a matter before the couple make a bigger commitment to each other.

Sharon - who is judging new British reality TV show 'That Dog Can Dance' - said: ''I think Kelly wants to end up with 10 babies. One day it will definitely happen. You can't help but feel broody when you see that little butterball - you just want to eat her up! Kelly's so happy she could get married tomorrow ... Matthew is a lovely guy.''
