This year’s X Factor bootcamp will be held in Liverpool, it has been revealed.
Audience website Applause Store has opened the opportunity for fans to grab tickets to the event, to be held next month.
It was reported this morning that the show’s bootcamp would be moved outside of London for the first time, over problems arranging a venue during the middle of the Olympics.
“The Olympics has posed a huge problem for us this year,” a source told the Daily Star newspaper. “London has always been the choice venue for boot camp.
“But now we are having to re-think it, and fast.”
The source added: “It would be a nightmare to stage it during the Games so we’ll have to move.”
Around two hundred budding performers still remain in the contest after the last set of try outs in Cardiff last week.
They’ll be whittled down to just 32 at bootcamp, who will go on to the judges’ houses stage in September.

| Brian Friedman to join Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger & Tulisa on X Factor 2012?
Simon Cowell has reportedly asked Brian Friedman to hot foot it back to the UK for the new series of The X Factor.
The choreographer has a long history with the ITV show, having briefly acted as a judge on the 2007 series when Louis Walsh was sacked. However he lasted just a few weeks, before being given the new role of creative director when the Irish star was reinstated.
Brian worked on the staging and dance routines of contestants on the live shows from 2007 until 2010, when he was moved to America and worked last year on the new US version of the talent show.
It has been reported today that Friedman will make his ITV comeback later this year, as part of Simon’s master plan to make the 2012 run….well interesting.
The music mogul was believed to be furious last year, blasting the judges and contestants for being too ‘boring’ and in order to face up to Strictly Come Dancing and beat the BBC dance show in the upcoming ratings battle, Cowell is said to be determined to bring Brian’s spark and dazzle back.
A source told The Mirror:
“Simon has made it clear that things have got to change and ‘The X Factor’ must be the number one show on TV without question. Last year it was embarrassing being beaten in the ratings some weeks by ‘Strictly Come Dancing,’ with all the buzz being about the BBC show instead of his.”
They added:
” Simon won’t allow that to happen again and he wants Brian back on board to help the show look outrageous and unbelievable. Brian worked on the US version of the show last year and Simon has sent out an SOS to get him back to the UK.”
Cowell is also said to have fired last year’s head makeup artist Natalya Nair and replaced her with his own personal makeup lady Julia Carta. He is said to be shaking up the styling team too.
Brian of course won’t be the only American voice on the UK show, as Nicole Scherzinger – who guest judged in 2010 – was announced as a permanent panel member in June of this year. She has already attended a number of auditions and is preparing for bootcamp which will take place later this month.

Сoming eighth in the poll was X Factor judge Gary Barlow, which we find a little funny has his hairline has definitely receded in recent years. However the Take That star is still pretty smoking, with or without his thick locks, so we can see why he won so many votes.

| The Take That singer is a huge fan of the chewy toffee and sherbet treat and makes sure he always has his own stash of them while he is filming the pop star search show alongside judges Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and Nicole Scherzinger.
A source exclusively told BANG Showbiz: 'Gary loves Wham bars, he's had them on his 'X Factor' rider even since the show started and always makes sure he's got a full supply.'
In addition to his work on the judging panel of 'X Factor' and his Take That duties, it was recently revealed that Gary is to team up with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber for another song
The pair worked together on the official Diamond Jubilee single, 'Sing', last month - which was released to celebrate Britain's Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee - and its success has inspired them to collaborate again.
Gary has already sent Andrew an outline for one new song and they're planning to continue writing together on holiday in Spain this summer.
Andrew said: 'I am writing with Gary Barlow again. I've come up with the tune this time and he's already emailed me with lyrics this morning. It hasn't got a title yet.
'Gary's going to be down in Majorca this summer and so will I, so we'll get together and something will come out of it.'

| Could It Be Magic? Gary Barlow sports suspiciously thick mane at X Factor bootcamp
His X Factor colleague Louis Walsh has made no secret about having a hair transplant to boost his thinning locks.
But it appears Gary Barlow has only good fortune to thank for his full head of hair.
The 41-year-old showed off a surprisingly thick mane at the X Factor boot camp auditions in Liverpool - but denied having treatments to stave off the balding process.

Last year, the Take That singer’s incipient bald patch was clearly visible as he arrived to judge the show.
But it seems he managed to hide it this year with some clever styling.
During a break in filming the show on Thursday, warm-up comedian Ian Royce teased Barlow in front of thousands of spectators.
Stroking his head, he joked: ‘Your hair’s looking much longer than usual Gary.
‘Maybe it’s because you have been in contact with Louis. Everything seems to grow around him.’
Walsh, 59, admitted having a hair transplant last year, following taunts from show boss Simon Cowell. The procedure reportedly cost £30,000.

At the time, the Irish judge said he had given Barlow the phone number of the specialist clinic where he had it done.
He said: 'I keep telling Gary he needs it next. I always clock him glancing at my hair on the show.
‘I’m giving Gary the number so hopefully he can get that bald patch at the back of his head sorted out.’
'If you’re getting on, and you’re on TV with a lot of young people, you have to look after yourself.
‘So I thought, “I don’t want a bald spot. I’m going to get this sorted”. It’s called maintenance.’
Last year, Barlow hinted the stress of managing tearaway contestant Frankie Cocozza was turning his hair grey.
He said: ‘You're responsible for putting those people on stage every week and saying 'what do you think everyone?' and it's not always good. I've had sleepless nights and there are a few grey hairs here from Frankie Cocozza.’
Yesterday, Barlow’s spokesman denied rumours he had used hair replacement treatments, saying: ‘Absolutely not.’
This year, at least five rejects from previous X Factor contests have been sent through to the show’s boot camp stages.
Jade Richards – who was eliminated in the ‘judge’s houses’ stage by Kelly Rowland last year – is among the hopefuls.
Other losers from last year to reapply are Joe Cox, rejected last summer by Gary Barlow, and brunette beauty Carolynne Poole, who was given the boot by Louis Walsh.
Miss Poole is a talent show veteran, having been a finalist in BBC competition Fame Academy in 2003.
Other applicants from previous series to make it to this year’s boot camp include guitarist James Michael and Irish teen Melanie McCabe.
During Thursday’s audition, judge Nicole Scherzinger burst into tears during a moving rendition of love ballad Believe, by Cher.
The American star reportedly argued with her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton last week after the British Formula 1 star was spotted partying late into the night in a hotel room with ten women.
She was consoled by her fellow judges after the song, and a team of make-up artists had to reapply her make-up while she dabbed her eyes with a tissue.
Earlier this week, a source close to Miss Scherzinger said she and Hamilton are still together.

GARY BARLOW has been lumbered with the tricky Over 25s group on The X Factor after Simon Cowell rang the judges personally and dished out their categories.
The songwriter now has the job of trying to create the first winner from the Overs category since Steve Brookstein won the first series in 2004.
Louis Walsh has got the notoriously difficult Groups category, Tulisa Contostavlos has the Girls and new judge Nicole Scherzinger has got the Boys.
Last night a source told TV Biz: “Gary doesn’t like joke acts and the Overs category is often full of novelty acts.
“In the past, when Louis has mentored them, the public got used to jokey acts like Wagner Carrilho and Johnny Robinson.
“Gary is preparing himself for an uphill battle.”
However, he has booked his venue for the judges’ houses round — in Mallorca.
Wife Dawn is due to give birth the week of the round but Gary has persuaded her to let him go away as far as the Spanish island.

| THE X Factor judges Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh say this year’s series is the strongest ever, after giving novelty acts the boot.
The hit ITV1 reality show has had a major revamp, allowing contestants to audition with instruments for the first time.
Show boss Simon Cowell gave the green light to the changes after admitting last year’s talent had been poor.
The makeover is a desperate move to combat falling ratings and to compete with BBC rival The Voice.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday, head judge Gary Barlow, 41, said: “The level of talent feels a real step up from last year.
“Allowing musicians to play their instruments has made a massive difference.
“We have a lot more singer-songwriters, a lot more real artists. I’m really excited.”
Louis, who has been a judge since the show started in 2004, said: “This is the best year ever. There are a lot less karaoke acts and more real singers. We have a lot less novelty acts.”
In recent years fans have complained that great singers were being overlooked in favour of novelty acts.
And ratings tumbled in the last series as viewers switched off because of the falling talent level.
Take That star Gary will be guiding the over-28s, Tulisa Contostavlos, 24, the girls, Nicole Scherzinger, 34, the boys, with Louis, 59, picking up the groups.
And Gary backed himself or Tulisa for success, adding: “There are two fantastic groups but on the whole the groups are the weakest.
“The over-28s are actually very strong this year.
“The talent all round is much stronger but I would definitely say the overs and the girls are the stand-out categories.”

| X Factor judges Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh have claimed that the new series will see the backs of novelty acts.
The X Factor 2012 starts on ITV1 later this month, and both Gary and Louis promised more talent than ever before.
“The level of talent feels a real step up from last year,” said Take That’s Gary Barlow. “Allowing musicians to play their instruments has made a massive difference.
“We have a lot more singer-songwriters, a lot more real artists. I’m really excited.”
Louis, the only judge to have been on the panel every series since the show’s start in 2004, backed up Gary.
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, the Irish music mogul claimed: “This is the best year ever.
“There are a lot less karaoke acts and more real singers. We have a lot less novelty acts.”
This year’s show has seen a few rule changes in a bid to attract more talented acts.
Contestants have been encouraged to perform their own tracks and they’re now allowed to perform with their own instruments during the audition rounds.
The rules regarding management deals have also been lifted, opening the flood gates to already semi-established acts.
The auditions begin later this month on ITV1.

| X Factor 2012 judge Gary Barlow has claimed that the Overs category are the strongest this year.
With the Take That star rumoured to have been put in charge of the group, it’s no surprise to hear him singing their praises.
This year will see the Overs category have a change of age limits, with it now including those acts over the age of 28 as opposed to 25 as in last year’s series.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Gary also downplayed the groups category, claiming they were the weakest.
“There are two fantastic groups but on the whole the groups are the weakest,” he said. “The over-28s are actually very strong this year.
“The talent all round is much stronger but I would definitely say the overs and the girls are the stand-out categories.”
New judge Nicole Scherzinger however remains the favourite to win the new series.
The former Pussycat Doll is rumoured to be in charge of the usually successful boys category, and the bookies give her a 6/4 chance of being crowned the winning judge in her full series début.
However, after winning last year Tulisa won’t be willing to relinquish her title any time soon and she’s breathing down Nicole’s neck at 7/4 to win with the girls in 2012.
It’s 4/1 that Louis and the groups make it back-to-back victories for a band, but it’s not looking good for Gary Barlow as the 5/1 outsider to be the first mentor to win with an over-age contestant since Steve Brookstein back in 2004.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Scherzinger’s already got her claws on the winner.
“History shows that the boys always do well and we expect this year to be no different with Nicole in charge of them.”

| X Factor bosses have insisted that they will work closely with Gary Barlow and accomodate him in any way they can, following his family tragedy this week.
The Take That singer announced on Monday that his wife Dawn had given birth to a stillborn baby girl – who they named Poppy – on Saturday and are currently planning the tot’s funeral.
Gary had been due to film his X Factor judges houses scenes, when he would whittle down the last of his contestants to just four who would take places on the upcoming live shows. However, producers have revealed that they will reschedule dates for the final auditions to suit the dad of three.
One told The Mirror:
“We will move the dates if we need to. It’s not a problem at all – we will give Gary as much time as he needs after the news. We are all there for him.”
It is likely that Tulisa Contostavlos, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh will film their judges houses first and it has been reported today that Nicole wants a ‘current’ male star to assist her in choosing between her boys.

| Tulisa Contostavlos is reportedly acting up quite a bit on the X Factor set.
The former N Dubz star is obviously feeling confident after she won last year’s series of the show and insiders say she was really throwing her weight around while taping the audition and bootcamp stages, acting as if she was Simon Cowell herself.
Tulisa sits alongside Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger on the ITV panel and it seems that in her second year at the table, the blonde beauty has been getting a little bit up herself.
A source told Reveal magazine that Tulisa has been bossing staff around, showing up late and throwing tantrums when things don’t go her way. They added:
“Tulisa has always worn her heart on her sleeve, but lately she’s taken it too far. Behaviour which used to be indulged is wearing seriously thin now.”
The insider went on:
“You’d think she was Simon Cowell the way she throws her weight around.”
Tulisa’s fellow judges are said to have different reactions to her behaviour with Take That’s Gary trying to ignore her most of the time, and Louis Walsh encouraging her by laughing along.
The source continued:
“Gary Barlow tends to ignore her, and Louis Walsh finds the whole situation hilarious.”
Simon Cowell may not react quite as well, and the source said that the ‘Young’ hitmaker could find herself in a tricky situation if the public react against Tulisa’s diva strops when the series kicks off next Saturday night.
“Tulisa had better hope for good ratings, because if things don’t work out on this year’s show, there won’t be many people sticking up for her,” the source concluded.
We can kind of see why Tulisa would be feeling a little more confident this year.
She had a hit solo single with her first release ‘Young’, she won the ‘Sexiest Women of The Year’ award from FHM and she did win the X Factor last year and with a group, which is totally unheard of. Even her recent sex tape scandal did little to harm her image or fanbase.

But it seems Gary Barlow is going to be much tougher on contestants this year after admitting last year's batch were 'lazy', 'complacent' and 'cocky'.
The new approach comes after boss Simon Cowell, who is executive producer on the programme, said the finalists for the 2011 series were not strong enough.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine, Barlow said: 'One of the biggest shocks for me last year was how quickly people become lazy once they get into this competition.

'I found myself thinking, "Hold on, this is just the start. You haven't made it yet. Even if you win it is just the start".
