| X Factor boss Simon Cowell reportedly wants Gary Barlow fired from the show, blaming him for the ratings dip.
Simon apparently already has another man lined up to replace Gary, and didn’t want him on the panel this year.
According to The Times, ITV bosses had overuled Simon to get Gary back on the show for a second series, but with ratings falling, it seems that the channel can no longer defend the choice to keep him on board.
“Cowell doesn’t think that he knows enough about who to choose from the auditions. The one thing he did after the 2010 show was to create One Direction, who are now the biggest pop group in the world,” an insider told the newspaper.
The X Factor 2012 final is set to be one of the least watched ever, with last weekend’s semi-final down over two million viewers on last year.
The source continued: “The original X Factor was zeitgeisty – we were in an age where everyone was being too PC. When he told people the truth about how awful they were, people warmed to him. People also believed he really had the ability to turn someone into a big star.”
Reflecting back on the series, Gary told the official ITV1 X Factor website this week: “The X Factor is much more fun this year. There has been shedloads of drama! Last year was a learning curve for me.
“This year, I’ve been less nervous and I’m taking things in my stride. I toured during last year’s show. In hindsight, I took on too much and was knackered the whole time.”
Speaking to The Times, the insider added: “Gary still hasn’t decided what he’s going to do next year, but he doesn’t need to do this. He has a day job. Whatever happens, he won’t be at home twiddling his thumbs.’
However a show source told the Daily Mail: “Nobody’s thinking about next year yet. Everyone’s just concentrating on this weekend – and making sure it’s a great finale.
“To suggest anyone else has been lined up at the moment just isn’t the case – and wildly premature.”
We’re not sure how Gary alone can be blamed for this year’s flop in the ratings.
The biggest problem has been the overall lack in talent in all of the finalists, together with some bizarre production choices.
Not letting singers like James Arthur and Ella Henderson to perform their own tracks is one mistake that’s certainly not helped the series.
The X Factor 2012 continues tonight with the live final results in Manchester from 7:40PM on ITV1.
Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.

Гари вчера я ко своему стыду не узнала  он очень помолодел и чем-то напомнил того Гари из 90-х. У меня вчера еще флэш бэк такой был по радио Babe слышала :D.
Я очень долго приглядывалась пытаясь понять что не так :D. Вот что значит привыкла к его бороде.

| Не знаю где написать, но можно я выскажусь здесь про финал X Factor.
Мне совершенно не понравилось исполнение Rule The World Крисом он не прочувствовал настроение песни. Он ее просто уничтожил во первых он ее исполнял в своей только известной ему манере и я совершенно согласна с Луи что ему не подходят современные песни, а только классика 80-х вот там он в своей стихии. Он совершенно не умеет петь в дуэте у меня сложилось четкое ощущение, что Крис пел не с Гари на сцене живьем, а пел с записью на радио он совершенно его не слушал и получалось что каждый пел сам по себе Гари отдельно Крис отдельно. Бедный Гари пытался его перекричать но тщетно. Между ними совершенно не было гармонии по сравнению с прошлогодним дуэтом с Маркусом это небо и земля.
Элла в Live Shows куда лучше спела она поймала и прочуствовала настроение песни здесь все искусственно.
Я почему-то так показалось, что Гари подумал ну наконец-то отмучался хоть 3-е место.

| HEAD judge Gary Barlow has told X Factor bosses that Simon Cowell can’t sack him because he’ll quit first.
Show boss Simon is keen to fire the Take That star before next year’s show after lining up another male pop star to replace him on the panel.
But sources close to Gary claim he will leave at the end of the year before Cowell, 53, has a chance to wield his axe.
Gary, 41, wants to free up time to focus on another Take That record and to concentrate on solo projects including the possibility of a new solo album.
He said: “I don’t know if there is room in my diary for X Factor next year, if I am honest.”
He also wants to jump ship over fears the show is damaging his reputation due to falling ratings and negative publicity.
According to show sources, Gary knows Simon does not want him to return and, much to ITV1’s dismay, this will be his last series.
Our insider said: “Gary has enjoyed his two years on the show but privately he’s made it clear he won’t be returning for a third series.
“He’s concerned by the falling ratings and is worried he’s losing his integrity on the show.
“He wants to get back to basics and concentrate on what he loves doing, which is making music.
“Gary also feels drained by how intensive and all-consuming the show is.
“He knows next year will be a big year for Take That and also him personally and he wants to free time to balance his career and his family life.
“Something has to give and that thing will be X Factor.”
The source added: “He and Simon basically don’t speak any more so he wants to leave on his terms.”
The relationship between Gary and Simon is believed to be at an all-time low after a growing rivalry in recent months.
According to Cowell’s recent biography, he wanted Gary sacked after the first series. But yesterday, Gary said: “I don’t hear from Simon. I met him in February to talk about the next series.
“It was the same as last year – once we go on telly I don’t hear anything.
“I’m assuming if I was doing anything wrong I’d be hearing plenty more.
“I don’t need to speak to anyone during the series. I know what my job is and what I need to do.”
Cowell is rumoured to blame Gary for X Factor’s huge drop in ratings. More than five million viewers have switched off in the past two years.
But Gary made fun of the claims, laughing: “It’s clearly all my fault.
“I’ll take it all on the chin. If you want someone to blame, blame me.
“And it’s all because I’ve moved chairs as well.”
A frustrated Gary also claimed insiders within The X Factor were trying to derail him by attacking his act Chris Maloney.
He blasted: “It is funny all the Chris Maloney stuff about him being a diva.
“I’ve not seen it. I’ve been round the whole building asking because if one of my acts is misbehaving I want to know about it.
“Nobody has seen anything, which tells me he’s probably doing quite well from the start.
“Someone’s trying to get rid of him.”
Insiders suggest Cowell is planning a major cull next year, axing Gary, Tulisa Contostavlos, 24, and Louis Walsh, 60, in the hope of rescuing the show.
Even hit judge Nicole Scherzinger said: “I don’t know if I will be back.
“They have to ask me first and they haven’t asked me yet.”

| Gary Barlow has refused to commit on whether he wants to be back on The X Factor next year.
The Take That star was coy when asked whether or not he was hoping to be on the panel for a third series, amid claims he’s set for the axe in yet another shake up of the judges’ line up.
He teased: “It’s sill too early to say but I’ve had a great time this year. You’ll have to wait and see.”
Gary however admitted he’s had a much more enjoyable time on the show this year.
He said: “This year has definitely been more enjoyable for me.
“I know where everything is, who everyone is and what to expect every week – although there have still been a few surprises.
“I’ve really had a great time – and chris was in the final!”
We’re not sure that’s much of a positive, Gary
In fact, it’s been a pretty good year for Gary all around, who said of 202: “It’s all been amazing! I still feel like I’m floating.
“The Jubilee was amazing though, – just such a brilliant special day with some amazing people.”
And as for 2013, Gary was quiet about the X Factor and instead revealed he’d be back with Take That for a new album and no doubt another tour.
He said: “Take That will be back in the studio, writing and recording a new album It will be great to be back in a room working together again, it’s been ages.”
