The cream of music, comedy and theatre will come together in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, at the iconic London Palladium, for the 82nd annual Royal Variety Performance. Introducing the acts in his own inimitable style will be this year's host, award-winning comedian Michael McIntyre.
Commenting on the star-studded line-up, Michael said: "I am unbelievably excited to be hosting The Royal Variety Performance this year at the London Palladium in its centenary year. It is a dream come true to be introducing the likes of Take That, Cheryl Cole and Prince Charles's own personal booking, N-Dubz."
Fresh from their reunion, Take That will be performing on the show as a five-piece for the first time since 1994, treating fans to two songs.
Singing sensation Cheryl Cole will take to the stage with an exclusive performance of The Flood, taken from her second number one solo album.
And urban trio N-Dubz will be rapping for the Royals, as they make their Variety Performance debut.
An all-star comedy line-up includes routines from the Liverpool's king of comedy John Bishop; Edinburgh Fringe Festival Best Newcomer, Sarah Millican; new funniest kid on the block, Jack Whitehall and everyone's favourite East End geezer, Micky Flanagan.
Britain's Got Talent winners Spelbound, double Gold medallists at this year's Acrobatic Gymnastic Championships, will perform a spectacular brand new routine.
The people's tenor Russell Watson will deliver a powerful performance of Parla Piu Piano, best known as the love theme from The Godfather, while the Chelsea Pensioners will give a heart warming rendition of If You Were The Only Girl (In The World).
A host of theatre's brightest stars will also share the stage. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, performers from Les Miserables including Alfie Boe will sing a medley of songs from the smash hit musical. Danielle Hope, the leading lady from the Wizard Of Oz, will deliver what is sure to be an enchanting performance.
Other performers include Daniel Whiston, top-class ice-skater and two-time winner of Dancing On Ice, with his magical skating and flying routine.
The Royal Variety Performance is an annual charity event in aid of the Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund. It will be shown on BBC One in December.
Notes to Editors
Speaking on their involvement in this year's show, some of the acts commented:
Russell Watson: "What a real thrill to have been invited for the second time to perform at the most prestigious showbiz event of the year. As an entertainer there are few greater moments than a performance on the Royal Variety Show. After my health problems of the last few years it is an even more poignant and significant career moment for me!"
Jack Whitehall: "Prince Charles came to my school once when I was 16 but there wasn't time to tell him any jokes. Now I have the opportunity to. Maybe it's fate!"
Sarah Millican: "I am so excited to be part of the Royal Variety Performance. To be able to bring those who have supported my daft job for years to the Palladium feels like a career milestone. I am preparing for a very churny belly on the day."
Micky Flanagan: "It's an absolute pleasure to be selected… and if things don't work out with the comedy, I might have a word with Charles to see if I can get the contract for doing the windows at the palace."
John Bishop: "I'm really looking forward to doing the Royal Variety, especially when you consider everyone else that's done it before. It's great to be a part of this unique event."
Spelbound: "We have had an amazing time since winning Britain's Got Talent and can't believe we've still got the Royal Variety Show to come. What a way to end an unbelievable year. We were so excited when we heard that the show is back at the London Palladium as that makes it even more special given it’s such a unique venue and we'll be thinking about all the famous names who have appeared there when we perform.
"We are working on something brand new and, hopefully, even more spectacular. We know there is a high level of expectation on us every time we perform and we hope we live up to those expectations as the support we've had is more than we could have ever dreamed of.
"We've had many honours bestowed on us since June, but this really is the biggest and best. We thank everyone who voted for us and the Britain's Got Talent judges and team who gave us such a unique and special opportunity which we'll remember for the rest of our lives."
