ROBBIE WILLIAMS is to marry American sweetheart AYDA FIELD tomorrow, The Sun can reveal. The singer, 36 - newly back with TAKE THAT - and actress Ayda, 31, have planned an intimate ceremony on a romantic island off Los Angeles.
Robbie has had a stunning series of showbiz romances and his love life soon hit the headlines after he walked out on his Take That pals back in 1995.
He dated society girl JACQUELINE HAMILTON-SMITH before being linked with All Saints star NICOLE APPLETON.
Next were actresses JOELY RICHARDSON and ANNA FRIEL, Irish songbird ANDREA CORR, TV presenter TANIA STRECKER and ex-SPICE GIRL GERI HALLIWELL.
Stoke-born Robbie then moved on to Kiwi supermodel RACHEL HUNTER and Hollywood beauties CAMERON DIAZ and VALERIE CRUZ.
But by 2006 he had met actress and comedienne Ayda Field - the girl who was to tame his wandering heart. They are to marry on the island of Santa Catalina, 20 miles off the California coast and a favourite spot for honeymooners.
Secretive Robbie and his bride-to-be told family and close friends of the date only last week.
The other members of the reformed Take That - GARY BARLOW, 39, MARK OWEN, 38, JASON ORANGE, 40, and HOWARD DONALD, 42 - are all believed to be on long-standing holidays and so will not be attending.
Robbie's closest pal JONATHAN WILKES, 32, flew out to LA yesterday. He joined Robbie's dad Pete Conway and mum Jan.
Guests have been told to assemble tomorrow morning at a small port.
From there they will be ferried to Santa Catalina.
A source said: "Robbie and Ayda have been deeply in love for a long time now. They spend almost every waking minute of every day together and are completely inseparable.
"They have tried to keep the guest list for the wedding as small as possible and have revealed only scant detail of the ceremony to the lucky few who are invited."
The couple will have a two-week honeymoon before Robbie arrives in the UK to promote new Take That single Shame, which is out in October.
Robbie and Ayda - who starred in Channel 4 comedy-drama Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip - met through friends.
They dated in secret for six months before The Sun revealed they were together in 2007.
The couple developed an interest in UFOs and spent weeks in the Californian desert camping and star-gazing.
Last November Robbie rang Ayda to propose as she was being interviewed live on a radio station in Sydney, Australia.
He was quick to claim it was all a joke. But his mum Jan revealed he really WAS keen to wed - and by the New Year Robbie had confirmed to friends they were engaged.
Last year he told The Sun: "I call her my Swiss Army Knife because that's the way I feel about her - she can do anything. She was training to be a lawyer and dropped out to become a comedian. She loves her football.
"If anything goes wrong with DVDs, computers or anything like that, she fixes them straight away."
The couple bought a country house "on impulse" near Compton Basset, Wilts, but then decided to return to Robbie's Ј12million Beverly Hills mansion because of the better weather.
Robbie's early romances were a closely guarded secret when he was first in boyband Take That.
But soon after he left he began a fling with party-loving Jacqueline Hamilton-Smith - now 43 - the daughter of a lord.
In 1997 he fell for Nicole Appleton, 35, and they were briefly engaged in 1998.
He filled the rest of that year and the next having flings with Joely Richardson, 45, and Anna Friel, 34, before dating Irish songbird Andrea Corr, 36. By the new millennium he had moved on to leggy Dane Tania Strecker, 37.
Her split from film producer GUY RITCHIE proved the inspiration for Robbie's 2007 single She's Madonna.
Robbie was also linked with Geri Halliwell, 37. But she has since denied their relationship was physical.
She said: "I became really close to Robbie after leaving the Spice Girl and it was a very poignant friendship. I was lonely and felt he was the only person on the planet who could understand me because of his experiences with Take That.
"We understood each other. But I didn't really go out with him."
In 2002 Robbie was with New Zealand-born Rachel Hunter, 40, who had divorced rocker ROD STEWART three years earlier.
The next years saw dates with beauties including Cameron Diaz, 37, and Valerie Cruz, 34.
Last night a spokesman for Robbie and Ayda was unavailable for comment.
