Now he's rejected a honeymoon abroad in favour of a relaxing break in the house with stunning new wife AYDA and their dogs.

The newlyweds were planning to jet to a remote destination but scrapped the idea at the last minute.

I can't help feeling it's because of his devotion to their beloved pooches, who walked down the "aisle" with Ayda when they got married.

A source said: "They've chosen to stay at home. They were thinking of going away but decided to stay where they're most comfortable - in the house with their dogs.

"They want to squeeze in a proper honeymoon later in the year once the hype about their wedding has died down. Robbie also didn't want to run the risk of them being photographed on their romantic getaway either."

The couple, who have been husband and wife for two weeks, adore their eight pooches. They acted as the "bridesmaids" on the wedding day.

Ayda said: "I was originally thinking of little bow ties for them, but instead they're going to each have flower collars."

I know what it's like having to sort the holibags around the dog.

But the missus deserves a proper honeymoon, so I suggest they find themselves a good kennel.

So what's made Robbie, 36 - the UK's most unapologetic bachelor - turn into a soppy husband who now thinks the next step of fatherhood is 'inevitable'?

The Turkish-American actress isn't exactly one of the limelight lovelies he used to be romantically linked to, such as Geri Halliwell, Cameron Diaz or his ex-fiancée All Saints singer Nicole Appleton.

But insiders say Robbie was attracted by the fact that Ayda knew how to handle fame, yet wasn't too famous to overshadow him.

'Ayda hadn't really heard of Rob,' says our source.

'When she found out she was nonplussed and more interested in knowing the man beyond the fame. Ayda keeps him in line. She knows her own mind and won't be pushed around.'

Ayda keeps easily distracted Robbie's attention because she isn't your typical LA airhead.

'She can speak English, Italian, Turkish and French,' says our insider.

'She has a degree in politics and economics and trained as a lawyer. She's bright, funny and independent.'

Rocker Robbie was being chauffeur-driven when he heard the tune Blackpool Honeymoon – the debut ­single by Britain’s latest girl band The Seraphims.

The 36-year old star knew he had just been booked to switch on the seaside town’s famous illuminations in 12 days’ time, on September 3.

So he told stunning wife Ayda Field, 30, he would take her along too and show her around the fun resort which he describes as ­“absolutely ace…the best place to have a holiday”.

Robbie tied the knot two weeks ago with actress-model Ayda at his Los ­Angeles mansion.

A Blackpool council source said yesterday: “We believe Robbie’s decision to spend some time here after his wedding was influenced by this particular song.

“We are told he was very impressed when he heard Blackpool Honeymoon.”

The pair became friendly last year when Williams performed on The X Factor and then returned to duet with Murs in the show's final.

Speaking to Celebritain, the 'Please Don't Let Me Go' singer admitted that he had decided not to send Williams and new wife Ayda Field a present.

"I sent a good luck email," he said. "I wouldn't send a present because there's nothing that he hasn't got!"

He added: "I sent a message saying congratulations. She's a lovely lady, I've met her and she's great so I'm really happy for him. He was really happy and emailed me straight back and said he was so happy, and so happy to be with her."

Both Murs and Williams will appear in Blackpool next month, for the switching on of the 2010 Illuminations.

"I can't wait to do that at the end of September," Murs said. "It will be great to catch up with Rob about how he is and how he's doing since the wedding."

Sexed Up singer Robbie and actress Ayda, 31, went on a secret "honey half-moon" - as their friends are jokingly calling it - before tying the knot earlier this month.

Determined to avoid all the hoopla surrounding them after their wedding, romantic Rob booked a week for them at Richard Branson's old place in Deia, Majorca.

They checked into the £1,040-anight Hotel La Residencia, a 17th-century villa surrounded by olive and citrus groves. Their room had a stunning sea view, although as cheeky Rob insisted on a private double hot tub and a queen-sized bed, we doubt they were spending much time gazing at the scenery.

And with next year's Take That reunion tour to prepare for, 36-yearold Robbie also made time for a few workouts... We mean at the gym, not in the bedroom. Hmm.

Our insider says: "Rob loves Majorca. He's been quite a few times and feels at home there.

"His schedule is really packed at the moment, so finding the time to get away for a traditional honeymoon was never going to be easy.
