Robbie Williams' career seems to be stuck the same as the singer himself, in an ever-increasing circle. He started out in a boyband, graduated to a manband, and looks destined to wind up with a gastric band.

The dad-like dancer has finally decided to settle down and get married after tiring of living the single life.

The battle of the bands begins next month. Take That take on JLS to see who's the biggest band in Britain - with the fans.

Both bands are due eagerly-awaited album releases on November 22. Only George Michael's release has been more enthusiastically anticipated - by him and his cellmate.

Take That burst onto the scene with the song 'Do What You Like', when appearing provocatively dressed in leather and smeared with jelly.

We've all made a video like that at some point.

Their latest video has trumped that showing, certainly in terms of homoeroticism.

In it they dress up as public school boys and engage in the activity of rowing - in a boat, of course. Bookies Bodog make Take That 1-2 to occupy the highest position in Official UK album chart on Nov 30 with JLS at 6-4.

Больше любопытно, смогут ли TT до конца года стать самым продаваемым альбом года в UK или нет. Ответ напрашивается один: могут просто не успеть (чуть больше месяца).

ITV has announced that it will screen a fly-on-the-wall documentary on Take That.

Airing in November, Take That: Look Back, Don't Stare will be a retrospective on the pop group's last year.

It will focus on the events prior to Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen reuniting with Robbie Williams.

"We're thrilled that our great relationship with Take That continues and they feel ITV will be able to give viewers and fans the first opportunity to see this amazingly frank and honest film about the last 12 months of Britain’s best loved band," said ITV's controller of entertainment John Kaye Cooper.

Producer Dan Bowen of Pulse added about the show: "Directors Fred Scott and Nick Davies have created a beautifully crafted film on an iconic band, and brilliantly captured a rare insight into Take That’s rollercoaster ride over the last 12 months, that we hope fans will treasure."

The programme will coincide with the band's long-awaited new single 'The Flood' on November 14. New album Progress will release on November 22.

A DVD release, Look Back, Don't Stare. A Film About Progress, will follow on December 6.

The group, who confirmed' the return of Robbie Williams last week, are being lined up to headline a concert celebrating the monarch's Diamond Jublilee in 2012, The Sun reports.

"The Queen's Jubilee is on the table and it's one gig the boys would not refuse. It would be a celebration for the nation at a truly historic occasion," a source said.

Gary Barlow was linked to the event in May when reports surfaced claiming that he had been asked to organise the Queen's 85th birthday party next year.

Though he is the newest member of the reformed group, Williams dominated their press conference in London, sitting centre stage and once again stealing the limelight from Gary Barlow and the other three men he abandoned 15 years ago when he bleached his hair blond, went to Glastonbury and decided it was more fun to hang around with Oasis than be in a boyband.

Back in the driving seat, Williams was on characteristically blunt form as he denied that he only rejoined Take That because his solo career had taken a nosedive.

The singer has not had a UK No 1 single since 2004, while his bandmates have managed to notch up three since they reformed without him four years ago.

Asked whether he would be rejoining the band if he was still having chart success, Williams did not miss a beat.

"Greatest hits album No 1 in 14 countries; last album sold more than The Circus (Take That's last record)," he said with a mock severe expression, adding, "so at the risk of being a sourpuss: F*** off."

"It's a sore point," said bandmate Mark Owen, with a laugh.

Despite this jibe, Williams said the men were no longer in competition with each other. "The first time around there were a lot of power struggles with everybody. This time there just isn't," he insisted.

After the split Williams went on to achieve major success as a solo artist, peaking in 2002 when he signed a record-breaking £80-million ($165-million) recording deal.

Last night police urged them to beware of the rip-off around the 2011 concert series.

Just three days after the lads announced their first tour together in 15 years, a handful of websites were already selling forgeries.

And a wave of tickets yesterday flooded eBay going for as much as £270 a pair, despite not officially being on sale until 9am.

Detective Inspector Sean Crotty, of the Metropolitan Police Economic and Specialist Crime Command, said: “There are huge numbers of Take That fans who will be desperate to get hold of tickets for these concerts.

“However, buying tickets from unofficial websites or agencies could result in them losing money, having their credit cards details compromised and ultimately losing out on the opportunity to see the band.”

Next year’s showstopping performances will hit stadiums in Sunderland, Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham and London.

Edward Parkinson, of ticket exchange viagogo, said: “We estimate that scam artists could make up to £10m from this one tour alone. Fans need to be extra vigilant.”

Last night the cracks were beginning to appear in the band’s show of solidarity after a spat about the Glastonbury Festival.

Robbie Williams, 36, said the group would “absolutely not” play the Somerset gig.

But bandmate Mark Owen, 38, said: “I would love for us all to go to Glastonbury.”

Seventeen years ago the Irish duo's collection By Request was unseated by the lads' Live At Wembley Arena.

This time round the two acts face-off in an albums battle. Take That issue Progress on November 15, the same day the old boys unleash their latest collection - Magic Moments.

Yesterday fans began queuing at venues around the country in a bid to snap up tickets for Take That's 14-date tour next summer, which went on sale this morning.

“One of my first holidays when I was at school was in Tenby,” said the 38-year-old, speaking to Wales On Sunday just before a “totally unprecedented” rush for tickets among fans crashed ticketing websites.

“We used to go camping there. I used to do break-dancing at the time and I remember break-dancing at a club there. I would love to return there and relive those memories.”

The father-of-two, who grabbed headlines earlier this year when it was revealed he had cheated 10 times on his wife Emma, said the Millennium Stadium was one of his favourite venues to perform.

“I think it’s absolutely incredible as a stadium but, personally, I prefer playing there when the roof is open,” he said.

“I like being outside in the natural air.

“I’ve got some great memories of being in Cardiff. We always stay at that nice hotel on the water [St David’s Hotel and Spa] so we can watch the boats going past and the seagulls – that’s what Cardiff is to me.”

However, he admits that while he may enjoy performing at the home of Welsh rugby, he’s not a fan of the sport.

“I played rugby at school – I was quite fast so I used to be on the wing,” he said.

“But I’m a football man. My team is Liverpool and we once won the FA Cup at the Millennium Stadium. We were on tour at the time so I couldn’t be there.”

Mark is now looking forward to getting back on the road next spring with the band for the European tour.

Take That split in 1996, a year after Robbie sensationally quit the band. The boys reformed in 2005 after a TV documentary but Robbie wasn’t part of the line-up.

While Mark is thrilled that his best buddie is joining them again, he admits some Take That fans were not happy to welcome him back.

“When we first talked about Rob coming back, some people didn’t think it was a good idea but everyone is entitled to their opinion,” he said. “My hope is that in eight months time, when people have heard the record and we’ve hopefully put on a good show they will be really glad he did.”

Take That have promised their new tour will redefine stadium gigs and the boys are now working on their routines. They are planning to bring their families on the road.

Mark’s two children are called Elwood, who is four, and Willow, two.

And despite his fame, he says he loves nothing better than doing the school run.

“We walk to school and then my little girl and I go off for a pain au chocolat together and I have a cappuccino,” he said.

“It’s the best start to the day when you’ve had that grounding.”

The singer has reportedly shed 42 pounds while preparing to tour with the group - whom he recently rejoined after initially quitting in 1995 - with his trainer even getting him to sing hits while running on the treadmill.

Fitness instructor Nick Hollender told The News of the World newspaper: "I make him run on the treadmill and sing all his songs without missing a note.

"He has to catch up to bandmates Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald who have been on tour much more than him and are in, he's not going to be left behind and wants to be trim and healthy, instead of feeling like the podgy member."

Robbie, 36, reportedly reached 203 pounds in recent years while living in Los Angeles, but after marrying actress Ayda Field this summer embarked on the gruelling four-hour a day workout regime to get him in shape for the 'Relight My Fire' group.

Nick added: "Robbie is now training like a full on athlete. We need to make sure he can perform the dance moves and sing at the same time."

Take That will tour Europe between May and July next year. The band's album 'Progress' will be released on November 22.
