Cheating Take That star Mark Owen buys his wife £2million house in bid to save marriage Serial love cheat Mark Owen has bought his wife Emma her dream house in a desperate bid to save their marriage.
Their relationship was on the verge of collapse after Owen admitted to a string of affairs and a long battle with alcohol during their five-year relationship.
But now the Take That star has paid close to £2million for the property so that the couple can make a fresh start.
Fresh start: Mark Owen and his wife Emma are planning to modernise the home they have bought in south London
The singer and actress Emma had been married for only months when Owen confessed that he had repeatedly cheated on her during their relationship, after revelations in a newspaper about his infidelity.
According to friends close to Owen, who is reportedly worth £10million, he has begged for forgiveness from Emma, 33, and promised that he will be faithful to her from now on.
The couple, who married in October, have a three-year-old son, Elwood, and a one-year-old daughter, Willow Rose.
Emma has apparently agreed to give the marriage a second chance. The couple have spent £1.8million on the attractive semi-detached house in South London.
The property boasts an impressive cellar running its entire length but Emma has insisted that the space will be used for a state-of-the-art gym, not for storing wine.

A source close to the couple told The Mail on Sunday: ‘They are both really excited about moving into the new house.
'They are seeing it as a new start. There was a time when they thought the marriage was over but they have agreed to give it another chance. Mark has promised to do everything he can to make things work.
‘Emma has longed to move for a while and she fell in love with this property. It’s in a really nice part of London and has great potential.
‘They have just got planning permission and are going to have their dream house.
They have months of building work ahead of them and are going to be spending a fortune but it will look incredible once it’s finished.’
The couple plan to modernise the house with glass floors, glass staircases and a sizeable dressing room.
Mark, 38, has told friends he is ‘thankful’ for the chance to repair his broken marriage.
He admitted to cheating on his wife ten times during their relationship, including an affair with 24-year-old accounts manager Neva Hanley which lasted for nearly five years.
He confessed: ‘I have been an idiot. Nobody else is to blame.’ He insisted he has been faithful since marrying Emma. Owen has also spent time in a private clinic to fight his alcohol addiction.
The source added: ‘Emma made the decision to take him back but this is the last chance he will get. He has said she can have anything she wants in the house and she’s taking full advantage.’
