| ROBBIE Williams proved he has more than one favourite in the X Factor - as he showed his support to Marcus Collins.
The Let Me Entertain You singer - who helped Gary Barlow pick his final four boys - was on hand at last night's elimination show.
He was snapped giving the show's last male act Marcus Collins a congratulatory hug after he got through to next week's semi-final.
Despite the superstar becoming great pals with Craig Colton - who was axed last week - Robbie showed he was still interested in how the contest panned out.
The 37-year-old has been giving Scouse Craig tips on songwriting in emails and during phone calls.
Craig, 22 - who was a favourite to win - let slip that he had become close friends with Take That legends Robbie and Gary Barlow by the time he left the show.
Meanwhile JLS and One Direction returned to the X Factor stage yesterday - to screams of delight from their female fans.
All the rejects, except Frankie Cocozza, returned to the studio to perform the show's charity single "Wishing On A Star".
And last night they joined the hopefuls including Little Mix — who all confessed to having their eyes on members of JLS — to belt out the tune.
Later the beaming boys were spotted leaving the X Factor's Fountain studios.
The 16 acts who made the lives shows recorded their parts of the charity single last month.
But the decision was later made to add the chart-topping former X Factor stars to boost sales.
Money raised from the track will go to kids' charity Together For Short Lives — which music mogul Simon Cowell is a patron of.
After the performance judge Louis Walsh was snapped with his former protégée Johnny Robinson.
The camp star is reportedly set to be ITV's anchorman for the American Golden Globes.
Johnny, 45, later shared his excitment at being back on stage on Twitter.
He wrote: "Awwwww thank U twitters it was greatttt to be back and for such a great charity love U all xxxxx/#"

X FACTOR oddball Johnny Robinson and superstar Robbie Williams have formed an out-of-this-world friendship — over their love of ALIENS.
Squeaky-voiced Johnny met the Take That legend backstage at the results show on Sunday night. They sat and nattered away about UFOs and creatures from outer space, oblivious to everyone else.
Angels singer Robbie even urged the wannabe to fly over to Los Angeles, where he has a home, so Johnny can go on an alien-spotting trip.
Axed Johnny, 45, said last night: "Robbie was a gentleman, really lovely. We had a long chat about UFOs as we are both interested in them.
"We've both seen UFOs and I have done a lot of research so Robbie was interested in talking about them."
Robbie, 37, who was backstage supporting bandmate Gary Barlow, thought Johnny was "brilliant".
A source added: "People often take the mickey out of him for his belief in aliens but Johnny was right there with him. They had an animated chat which went on for ages.
"Rob was telling him about UFO trips he goes on in the States, where they travel to 'hotspots' to hunt extra-terrestrials. He suggested Johnny try one as he really rates them."
The X Factor singer giggled and said: "I think I like Robbie more than Gary now. We have more in common. But Gary's still gorgeous."
Robbie has been interested in aliens and UFOs for years — and even claims to have seen one. He once joked: "I'm stopping being a pop star. I'm going to be a ufo-ologist."
#
ROBBIE visited rehearsals at rival reality show Strictly Come Dancing yesterday. He was there to support pal Robbie Savage.

X FACTOR star Craig Colton today revealed superstar Robbie Williams has helped him pen songs for his album.
The former biscuit factory worker formed a friendship with the Take That singer when he was guest mentor on the hit talent show.
Craig, who is from Kirkby, told the ECHO he is in the recording studio working with X Factor talent developer Eliot Kennedy.
As well as writing with Eliot, who has won a Grammy and has worked with the likes of Aretha Franklin, The Spice Girls and Gary Barlow, Craig had songwriting advice from Robbie.
He said: “I’m hoping to go to LA in the summer to record. And when I’m out there I’ll get to see Robbie.
“I’ve been sending him everything I’ve been doing.
“I’ve been speaking to Gary too, he’s been supporting me. But it’s so nice Robbie has kept in touch and made sure he’s involved.
“I’ve been emailing him some lyrics and he’s been helping me. If something needs to be changed he’ll send it back to me with ideas of how I could rewrite it to sound better.
“He’s a genius. One of my songs is called Beautiful Surprise and I would love it to be my first single. And Robbie said it was a lyrically genius song.
“I want to show I’m not just a boy who went on a TV show and that I can write songs.”
Since leaving the contest in November, Craig has lost a further two stone in preparation for The X Factor tour.
The 23-year-old, who teamed up with songwriter and record producer Eliot this year, said: “Eliot was one of the coaches backstage and he’s taken me under his wing. I was really upset when I left The X Factor, but Eliot said we were going to make a record.
“And now I’ve stood in the same spot as Celine Dion and Aretha Franklin stood in the recording studio.”
