Robbie Williams in an interview with reporter Martin Abächerli
"May I be honest?" Take That have reunited. The biggest boy band of all time! Shortly before her yesterday, "Benissimo" presence Sonntags .Blick met the megastars.
Yesterday, 18.43 clock. Suite 315, third floor. Hotel Renaissance in Zurich. Three bodyguards in front of the suite. The door opens. Cigarette smoke pushes me in the nose. Robbie Williams (36) gives me a hand. Warm. Then he hugged me, give me two kisses. He smiles. Then he sits down on the plush sofa. I vis-à-vis.
Hey Robbie, you look good. What is it like to be back in Take That?
Robbie Williams: Wonderful. Honest. It is glorious. I love the band. I love the guys. I love our new CD. And above all: We have forgiven us.
Robbie Williams speaks with broad English accent. Charming. His eyes sparkle mischievously. He folded his hands in his lap. Sometimes he scratches his head. Shows his tattooed fingers of right hand: "Love" stands out.
You used more often in Switzerland. Why less today?
Robbie: I live now in Los Angeles. And that's damn far away. I am now married to, every minute spent with my wife and our dogs. When I lived in London, I was often on skiing in Zermatt. Do not worry, I'll fly down there quickly again on the slopes.
Robbie Williams is suddenly melancholic. His eyes wander off. He is remembering his friend Wallis Heinz Julen, the artist and hotelier. With him he was a frequent guest. "Heinz Julen is my friend. I miss him very much, he is a very friendly person. A wonderful guy. "
What else do you connect with Switzerland?
Robbie: It sounds like a cliche. But I really like the Alps. As impressive. I always feel totally safe from these huge monuments. And of course I like to go skiing. I'm a real expert speedster!
Now also mixes Williams' band mate Mark Owen (38) into the conversation. He is the joker of Take That. "I like your snow. . As we have previously landed on our private jet, I have seen for the first time this year the snow »Even Jason Orange (40) from Switzerland says," Here I am always safe. Switzerland has been run for over 100 years, no wars. This country is neutral. This impresses me very much. "
Robbie: Yeah, Jason is right. In Switzerland there is still perfect world. I always felt totally comfortable here. A great luxury.
You sound move here almost as if you were next?
Robbie: Oh yes, one day I would really like to move to Switzerland. Preferably next to Phil Collins. He lived on Lake Geneva and there seems to be very happy.
Jason Orange: What does this-one day? I will draw maybe tomorrow in Switzerland. The fresh air, mountains, beautiful women ...
What else do you have wishes for the future?
Robbie: Can I be honest with you?
Absolutely.
Robbie: I have a strange request. I would like to invent food that tastes delicious, but has no calories.
Jason: Hey, and I hope finally three children, preferably girls only.
Mark Owen: I would like to be able to travel without having to move. But I will probably never manage.
Robbie slipped on his plush sofa back and forth. He looks very serious. Gone are the days when he marked permanently ripped sayings and the Joker. This role takes more recently Mark Owen. He laughs constantly, torn dirty jokes, flirting. And in these moments, scurries and Robbie a smile across his face.
Are there things that you regret?
Robbie: Please do not ask. Although everyone says that he regrets nothing. But let's face it: in my life happened so many things I would not do in hindsight. Hey, I had twice in the withdrawal. Of course I regret things. But our mistakes make us human.
Jason:Exactly. I could tell you the whole night from my mistakes.
Now they laugh again. Take That. The biggest boy band in the world. They started as a teenager. The world lay at your feet. In 1995 the big break. This summer sensation. The unexpected reunion.
Did you this mega success ever expected?
Robbie:But of course, my love. I am the most successful solo star of British music history. The other four phenomenal comeback of Take That have laid. So you need zusammenzuzählen only one and one. We are huge!
Robbie Williams. At the end of the conversation he is finally the charming loudmouth, we have always loved.
