LITTLE earthquake survivor Esterlino Neisco dances to The Sun's spellbinding Helping Haiti single yesterday - as it looked certain to race to the top of the UK charts. The three-year-old was one of thousands on the stricken isle thrilled by our star-studded cover of REM's hit Everybody Hurts after we got it played on their national radio.
Top Haiti DJ Junior Ferdinand's verdict on the charity single - released yesterday to raise money for aid - was: "It's beautiful."
He played it throughout the day on Radio Caraibes - broadcasting from a tent after last month's devastating quake destroyed its studios.
And he told listeners: "This one is from the United Kingdom. It's raising money for us all here in Haiti, to help us rebuild."
As delighted Esterlino swayed among the rubble of the capital Port-au-Prince, her mum Darcey, 26, said: "It's the first music we've heard here for weeks. I love it."
In a remote village, seven-year-old miracle survivor Kiki Joachin, whose dramatic rescue features on the CD cover, proudly treasures his copy.
And in the UK, big-hearted Brits flocked to stores to get their hands on the single when it went on sale yesterday morning.
It also went to the top of the iTunes, hmv.com, and Amazon download charts.
And it was named number one on the Big Top 40 show - a rival to the official chart - after a day of frenetic downloads.
HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said: "The song is easily on course to be the best-selling single of the week - and it stands every chance of becoming the biggest-selling single of the decade.
"Our stores were reporting lots of people coming in to buy copies and it was also our most downloaded track of the day."

But Gennaro stressed: "People should not assume the song will get itself to No 1. We must all go out and buy a copy - or lots of copies.
"We need to keep it at No 1 for many weeks."
The first CD copy of Everybody Hurts was bought yesterday by last year's X Factor winner Joe McElderry, 18. He was among the 21 stars who sang on the record.
The Sun's Bizarre Editor Gordon Smart was there to hand Joe, 18, his single when the HMV store in London's Oxford Street opened.
Robbie Williams, Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue, Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis, Michael Buble, Rod Stewart, Susan Boyle and JLS were among those who helped record the moving ballad at sessions in London and Los Angeles.
JLS star Oritse Williams headed calls to get Everybody Hurts to No 1 - because he lost Haitian relatives in the January 12 Caribbean disaster.
The X Factor singer, famous for his trilby, urged Sun readers to buy the single TODAY.
The quake has claimed 212,000 lives, injured 300,000 people and left two million homeless.
And Oritse said: "This is a huge humanitarian problem. Anyone could be struck down by an act of nature. So anyone with a heart should want to help. Buying the single is a simple way to help and does not cost much. It lets the people of Haiti know we are thinking of them and trying to help.
"Even buying one copy of the song will go a long way.
"Recording the single was perhaps even more moving for me than others, who don't have a family connection. I found singing the track an incredibly emotional experience."
You can buy the CD for £3.99 at shops including HMV, Marks & Spencer, BP Extra, House of Fraser, BhS, Oxfam, Argos, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda.
It is also available as a 99p download from all the usual online shops, such as iTunes, 3 Mobile, 7 Digital, Napster, Amazon and Play Nokia.
Half of proceeds will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee and half to The Sun's Helping Haiti Appeal. All proceeds of the Helping Haiti Appeal will go directly to a charitable fund set up by the Charities Aid Foundation (registered charity number 268369).
All money will go to charities helping Haiti quake victims.
