Back for a good cause? Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow meet up ahead of Children In Need show Robbie Williams and former band mate Gary Barlow showed they really are the best of friends as they posed with Fearne Cotton at Radio 1's Maida Vale studios.
Their meeting came a day before the Children in Need Concert at the Royal Albert Hall where it is hoped Robbie, 35, will finally join Take That on stage.
Both acts are scheduled to perform separate sets, but the showbiz world is holding its breath for the full Take That reunion in the hope that they will also perform together later in the show.
Robbie and Gary posed up with Fearne Cotton as the singer arrived to perform on the DJ's Live Lounge show.
The singer who's album is expected to hit the number one spot this week said he would love to join his former band on stage, but did not confirm tomorrow’s performance.
'We've got to get the balance right of what it is and where it is and how we do it,’ he told Cotton.
'We don't know what that is yet, I loved the last [Take That] album. The tour was absolutely unbelievable.’
Gary who has of late renewed his friendship with the reformed star dropped in at the Maida Vale studios to see Robbie.
He stayed to watch the 35-year-old perform a cover of The Killers hit Human, which he called his favourite song of the year, and his new single You Know Me.
Robbie, whose album Reality Killed The Video Star is on course to become number one this weekend, left Take That in 1995 with the group splitting up a year later.
The other four members of the band reunited in 2005 without Robbie and have gone on to enjoy renewed success on the road and in the charts.
There have been rumours that Robbie plans to permanently rejoin the band, since ending the feud with Gary in recent years and calling him 'my new best friend'.
Also adding fuel to the fire were reports that Mark Owen, 37, Gary, 38, Howard Donald, 41, and Jason Orange, 39, were spotted entering a New York recording studio at the same time as Robbie.
During an interview on ITV daytime show Loose Women earlier this week Robbie praised Gary and told viewers he was relieved that they had put aside their differences.
He said: 'Do you know what? I'm so glad I have. I'd still be going around saying nasty things about someone who is amazing.
'He's a very, very well-rounded lovely man. He's special, and should be regarded as special in this country.'
He also said that Take That member Mark Owen's wedding was 'absolutely fantastic' but then admitted that he had not been there, despite reports saying he had flown up on private jet.
