GARY BARLOW is getting in on the Brrrap Pack action by working with NDUBZ.

The TAKE THAT main man is heading into the studio this week with DAPPY, TULISA and FAZER to write and record.

Ndubz, nominated for four MOBO Awards, had invited Gary to pen some tunes and were astonished when he came back immediately to say yes.

An Ndubz associate said: "They are lifelong Take That fans and can't believe their luck that Gary's agreed to do this.

"Hopefully Gary will end up singing on some tracks."

Take That members are planning a year away from the man band but it doesn't sound like Gary's planning any rest.

N-Dubz have recorded a new song with Take That's Gary Barlow, bandmember Fazer has revealed.

The rapper/producer told BBC Newsbeat that the Take That man entered the studio with them recently for a project he jokingly decribed as "Take Braaaap".

Fazer explained: ""We've done a big tune with Gary Barlow. We're not narrow-minded, we can make big tunes, and we can make massive hooks, big concepts, that's why we've got Gary Barlow in.

"It ain't Take That, it's Take Braaaap. Legend. He came in the studio and it was great – he had time for the underdogs and he came and wrote a smashing hook."

Although Fazer didn't say when the song would be released, he went on to reveal that the band were set for another pop collaboration soon – with Kylie Minogue. "Something will actually come out of this," he said. "The negotiations are almost done and there should be a track with Kylie and N-Dubz and it'll be a smash."

The band were speaking before they collected two prizes, for best UK act and best album, at this year's Mobo awards.

Speaking before the ceremony Frazer said: "We've done a big tune with Gary Barlow. We're not narrow minded you get me, we can make big tunes, and we can make massive hooks, big concepts that's why we've got Gary Barlow in.

N-Dubz's debut album Uncle B was released last year, their second album is expected to be released in November.

After coming away with his third MOBO Dap, who become new best buds with Peter Andre at the bash, said: “I’m just a humble young man but our new album is really going to burn up the chart – ya get me?

“Now we got Gary Barlow on a track I’m gonna mess up Take That’s BRITs. Next year we’re gonna smash it up.

“I grew up listening to Pete’s music, so it was an honour to get to know him, too.”

It seems that 38-year-old Gaz is more than happy for the trio to steal his band’s thunder.

Dappy, 22, added: “He told me: ‘My kids and nieces love N-Dubz’ so we got in a studio and it was massive, ya get me.”

The rapper, who met Andre at the MOBO Awards in Glasgow last month, claimed that the pair bonded over their shared Greek heritage.

"Peter's my boy. He's got flow, he's got it all," he told The Mirror.

"Maybe it's a Greek thing - but working with him would be really wicked."

N-Dubz recently stated that they have worked with Gary Barlow, Chipmunk and Mr Hudson on new material. They also confirmed that they are planning to collaborate with Kylie on her upcoming 11th studio album.

N-Dubz have promised that their new album Against All Odds is full of "smashers".

The Camden trio, who release the follow-up to Uncle B on November 16, admitted that they feel confident with the final version.

"You can expect some smashers. It's got an epic and clubby sound with lots of powerful songs that were all produced by us," rapper Dappy told DS.

"It's a very personal record in that we did it all in the studio by ourselves. The songs are like our children and we're very protective over them."

The group, who teamed up with collaborators including Gary Barlow and Mr Hudson, praised the Take That star for agreeing to work with them.

"He's got a heavy schedule with Take That but he came to the studio and wrote a song with us," Dappy added.

"It's called 'No One Knows' and if you don't listen to it, you'll be missing out. It's a hip-hop banger but very musical."

She reckons the TAKE THAT star is second to naan for helping with new N-DUBZ album Against All Odds, out tomorrow.

Tulisa, 21, said: "Working with Gary was amazing. He was so funny and down to earth. We had curry and he stayed the night at our studio.

"He was sleeping in the next bedroom and we kept thinking, 'Oh my god, Gary is next door!' We were so grateful for him taking time with the underdogs."

N-DUBZ have been credited by the NME as having “the voice of youth”, while their PR proudly states that they’ve had “an unprecedented impact on modern British youth culture”. I’m not sure why.

Listening to their latest album, Against All Odds, it’s a pretty basic pop record that mixes in elements of hip-hop, grime and R’n‘B as well as the odd songwriting tip from Gary Barlow.

And while there are some radio-friendly ear-catchers, courtesy of notable collaborations with the likes of Mr Hudson and Chipmunk, there’s nothing really special to grab the attention. If anything, there’s more to offend anyone with a more mature sensibility.

On tracks like Shoulda Put Something On and Playing With Fire they display a sound and technique not dissimilar to acts like Black Eyed Peas (who also fuse styles) and are at their most appealing.

But there are onerous moments when they’re positive impact on youth culture really has to be called into question… much like their grasp of proper English!

Tracks like Duku Man are ugly grime heavy offerings that pretty much play to the darker, less appealing side of modern youth and/or hoodie culture, complete with juvenile references to farts, poos and shagging other men unless they love him. It’s deplorable songwriting really.

Likewise, Suck Yourself… which drops a decent beat and synth backing but becomes a complete turn-off lyrically. The F-word heavy language is also something not to be proud of for an LP aimed almost squarely at a below 20 listener-base.

Incredibly, Gary Barlow helps out with songwriting duties on No One Knows and the sound that results couldn’t be further from what Take That fans might have expected. It’s synth-charged, pretty urgent and a mix of rap and sung chorus. But there’s a keener sense of melody that owes much to Barlow’s presence.

But while N-Dubz certainly have their ear on current youth trends (Facebook is repeatedly referenced, for instance) and can concoct a decent melody within their songwriting, there’s a sneaking suspicion that they’re happiest keeping it urban and more R’n‘B/Hip-hop influenced. Collaborations with the likes of Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder and Nivo merely serve to confirm this.

The result may be being hailed as the winter soundtrack for today’s youth in some quarters, but it’s a mostly forgettable listen that doesn’t have anywhere near as much importance as it thinks it does.

The 'I Need You' group said they have met the Girls Aloud member - who has recently embarked on a solo career - on a few occasions and would love to work on a song with her.

Tulisa - who is the group's main singer - told OK! Magazine: "Yeah, we'd make a beat for Cheryl. I've met her once or twice. I saw her and I went, 'Aw, I love you', and she was like, 'Aw, I love you too,' and then we had a little hug."

Tulisa also talked about the hip hop group's writing sessions with Take That singer Gary Barlow, and how she felt his laid back approach contrasted nicely with the group's hyperactive main man Dappy.

She said: "Gary wasn't scared at all, he's so chilled out and proper laid back - a total contrast to hyperactive Dappy.

"Everything he does is kind of slow and really chilled and you sit down and you have a chat with him and he'll say, 'you sounded really good there, you have a good voice, you do'. He never gets overly excited, it's really funny. He's such a lovely guy."

N-Dubz next single 'Best Behaviour' will be released on October 3.
