| GARY Barlow has a proud musical heritage carved out on the tough working men's club circuit in the north of England.
But his piano-playing fingers are firmly on the pulse of what young people are listening to. He knows the crop of pop stars they idolise.
And the Take That star has been quietly working on plans to bring the big names of the Bizarre Brrrap Pack together for his next big charity project.
The singer is calling on pals such as Tinie Tempah to help him assemble the best writers, rappers and producers to release the first urban charity single for Children In Need this November. And he is convinced it could be a massive No1 hit.
A source said: "Children In Need asked Gary to put a single together. He immediately said he wanted to get the cream of British urban acts together to write a No1 record.
"He has been impressed by the current crop of talent in the charts and has befriended some of the big names. He is really fond of Tinie and they have been trying to find the right project to work on together for a while.
"He has also produced tracks for N-Dubz in the past and knows them well. These guys are flying the flag for British music right now and they are the best choice for the track."
How about calling the track It Only Takes An Innit Girl or Brrrap For Good? Producers such as Labrinth, who co-wrote Tinie's biggest track Pass Out, have really impressed Gary with their hit-making skills.
The rest of the wishlist is long and includes Plan B, Professor Green, Chipmunk, Ironik, Example, Wretch 32, Devlin and Tinchy Stryder.
You could forgive Gary for taking his foot off the gas after the past few years.
As well as masterminding an amazing return to form for Take That, he has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief and organised an incredible charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall for Children In Need back in 2009.
So it's difficult to feel any envy at all watching him diving off a luxury yacht with his family and pal Jason Donovan in St Tropez, France, this week.
If there is one bloke in the country who deserves every penny he's earned, it's uncle Gaz.

| It really is hard to pick a favourite Take That member, but Gary Barlow is just a bit lovely, isn’t he? The singer, songwriter and X Factor judge is reportedly arranging a collaboration between himself and Tinie Tempah to release an urban-style track tipped to be this year's single for Children In Need. That’s quite a CV you have there, Gaz.
Gary is said to have approached Tinie because he wants to gather some of the best urban rappers and writers for the song. A source claims,
"Children In Need asked Gary to put a single together. He immediately said he wanted to get the cream of British urban acts together to write a Number One record.”
After Take That’s initial split, Gary confesses that he wrote some “rubbish” songs, but he's impressed with some of the artists dominating today's chart.
"He has been impressed by the current crop of talent in the charts and has befriended some of the big names. He is really fond of Tinie and they have been trying to find the right project to work on together for a while,” says the source.
Some of the other musical mavericks allegedly on Gary’s list include Example, Plan B and Professor Green. With collaborators that tailor to the taste of both the young and the old, this next Children In Need song could actually be something everybody can "get down" to. As the kids put it these days.

GARY Barlow could easily sit on a gold throne all day, wearing his pop crown and smoking £50 notes with his feet up.
But the Take That hero has been hammering out emails into the early hours since the manband finished their massive Progress tour, in a bid to put together one of his most ambitious charity projects yet.
The X Factor judge, with help from producer Labrinth, has orchestrated a reworked version of the touching Massive Atack song Teardrop for Children In Need.
RAPPER Stryder wants you to name Children In Need supergroup
It will be the first non-comedy and credible single the charity has ever released.
After weeks of graft behind the scenes, the cream of young rapping talent finally joined forces under one roof to record the song earlier this week. And as anyone who has worked with the characters involved will tell you, just getting them to turn up on time deserves a medal.
Speaking at the Metropolis studios in west London, Gary told me: "I think this is a brilliant project. Children In Need has a history of doing upbeat singles with comedians but it's a serious charity doing a lot of hard work for serious causes.
"It's time to do something with artists who young people actually listen to. I've done these things before, I'm used to doing group situations, I like it - it's a challenge. It hasn't been easy. But bless him, Labrinth and his manager have been the key to the whole thing.
"I met up with them and they started doing the whole lot, talking to friends etc, and all of a sudden the word started to get out. Hopefully we should be nailed on for a No1 - and raise loads of money in the process."
Gary has put an impressive list of talent together with Lab - the man who co-wrote Tinie Tempah's massive hit Pass Out. He has produced the track, featuring Ed Sheeran, Rizzle Kicks, Dappy, Fazer, Tulisa, Miss Dynamite, Wretch 32, Tinchy Stryder, Mz Bratt and Dot Rotton.
The single is out on November 13 but Gary and Labrinth are stuck for a name for the collective - and they need your ideas.

The 40-year-old must surely be on his way to a knighthood the rate he’s going with good deeds.
The X Factor judge has pulled together a giant line-up of acts including Lady GaGa, 25, JLS, Coldplay and Elbow to perform for the charity at the MEN Arena on November 17.
Gaz, right, gushed: “I am so thrilled that these incredible artists are giving their time for such a special charity that is very close to my heart.
“I might even sing a little something on the night, too.”

| Gary Barlow has announced plans for a star studded benefit gig for the Children in Need charity this November.
The gig, Children in Need Rocks, will take place at Manchester's MEN Arena on November 17th, and features a stellar line-up of acts including Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Elbow, JLS and more acts to be confirmed.
Doctor Who star David Tennant will host the concert with DJs Chris Moyles and Fearne Cotton, which will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC Radio One. Also on the lineup is Michael Buble, N-Dubz and Hugh Laurie.
Take That songwriter and current X Factor judge Barlow, the organiser of the gig, said "I am so thrilled that these incredible artists are giving their time for such a special charity that is very close to my heart."
"I might even sing a little something on the night, too."
Tickets for Children in Need Rocks are set to go on sale this Friday.
