| It's true, we admit it, we can't wait for The X Factor to start. Whoever wins, whoever loses, there's no doubt it's great TV. But the auditions have only been going on for a couple of weeks and the 'fix' allegations have already started. Boo.
Audience members are said to have raised concerns yesterday when a boy band, The Mend, created by Take That's ex manager, Nigel Martin-Smith (remember him?) made it through the first round with Gary Barlow praising them with the verdict, "Get ready because your lives are about to change forever." And the success of this band in the first round have led to a few members of the crowd to question the authenticity of the audition and one took to a web forum to say, "Suppose it's just a coincidence they were put together by Take That's old manager".
But of course - as any good Take That fan would know - Gazza B and the band aren't very close to their old management at all these days, in fact, they dissed old Nige a bit in their comeback DVD back in 2005, so we can't imagine this is linked at all. In fact, we know Gary and he's a very serious man when it comes to music, we can't see him being involved in any fakery.
So, sorry X Factor doubters, we're not believing any of it and instead will be very excited to watch The Mend when they hit our screens this summer.
Besides if Nigel Martin-Smith really did put them together - and he was responsible for Take That - then we have to respect he has a very good eye for a boy band!

| JLS have praised the choice of Gary Barlow to replace Simon Cowell on The X Factor this year, saying that the decision will make the show “bigger and bigger” when it returns in the autumn. Speaking to OK! magazine last week, JLS also revealed they loved Cheryl’s accent – despite it being blamed for her US flop!
“I think her accent is incredible, we love Geordie girls,” Marvin said. Oritsé added: “Her accent is very sexy.”
On the new line up, Aston raved: “Gary Barlow is, for me, a perfect choice. He’s been there, he’s done it, he’s still doing it now.
“I don’t think there is a person in the music industry right now who could give more advice to people going through a show that intense. It’s just going to get bigger and bigger, as it does every year anyway.”
Meanwhile Marvin revealed he and his Saturdays girlfriend Rochelle Wiseman fight over which films to watch when relaxing at home!
He said: “I’ve got no choice in the matter. It’s always chick flicks. If I want to watch my man films, I watch them when she’s not around. We don’t get a lot of time to spend together and watch films, so we like to watch something that we’re both going to enjoy.”
JLS are set to release their third album in the autumn.

Gary Barlow told to stop being so nasty... here's his latest harsh putdowns!
New X Factor judge Gary Barlow has reportedly been told again by show bosses to cut back on his harsh criticisms! According to show sources the Take That has been asked to “tone it down” after one contestant complained about the songwriter’s comments.
“It’s like Gary’s evil twin turned up,” an insider told Star magazine. “He’s making Simon look like Mary Poppins. When he told singer Pebbles she looked like a man at her Birmingham auditions, you could have hurt a pin drop. She was mortified and immediately complained.”
The source added: “There have been complaints over Gary’s dressing-downs. He’s been asked to tone it down.”
Frankly we’ve loved Gary’s put downs, so we compiled a list of our top 5 favourites from the latest round of auditions…
1. I loved you when you came out, you look like a popstar, a great image, a great personality…. but then the voice started.
2. (to an auditionee who had sung Irreplaceable by Beyoncé): I wish you would go to the left, to the left, and keep on going to the left until you’re off the stage.
3. “You’re everything this competition doesn’t need. You’ve come on with this look and dyed your hair and it’s because you have no talent at all.”
4. In minutes and seconds how long did you spend rehearsing that? Or was that performance the rehearsal?
5. There was nothing original, it was just quite an average audition. I don’t feel like I’m in the presence of a popstar
The X Factor 2011 starts on ITV1 in August and it’s set to be a belter of a series!

Dermot O'Leary loves 'extraordinary' new X Factor judge Gary Barlow
X Factor host Dermot O’Leary has revealed he thinks new X Factor judge Gary Barlow as an “extraordinary” choice for the panel. Speaking before the latest auditions in Cardiff next week, the primetime presenter added that one of the Take That star’s comment was particularly “genius.”
“Barlow is extraordinary. We had a situation. There was one line where we couldn’t believe he said it where a woman came on and she finished singing and she wasn’t even that bad and Gary says, ‘I’ve just got one question to ask. Have you always been a woman?’ It was genius,” Dermot explained.He added: “I thought, ‘I can’t believe you’ve said that’. It was brilliant. The thing about Gary is there is no way you can turn around and say, ‘You don’t know what you’re talking about’ because he’s Gary Barlow.”
Dermot and Gary join Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Kelly Rowland at the Motorpoint Arena next Wednesday for the latest round of auditions.
