Global Radio’s Heart, the UK’s largest commercial radio network, is staging an exclusive gig with the legendary Robbie Williams in London on Thursday.

Love Music Live with Robbie Williams promises to be the hottest ticket of the year as Robbie performs an intimate gig for Heart listeners at one of London’s most prestigious West End venues on Thursday 18th March.

Robbie Williams is undoubtedly one of the most exceptional entertainers of his generation, achieving more than 55 million record sales worldwide. He’s enjoying massive success with his current album Reality Killed the Video Star, which has already sold over Triple Platinum in the UK alone since its launch last November. Celebrating 20 years in music this year, Robbie has won countless awards including more BRIT Awards than any other music artist in history, most recently receiving the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the 2010 BRITs.

And after just one song at a gig in central London, he said: "It's great to be here and it's nice to be the only member of Take That not in trouble this week."

Joker Robbie was on top form in front of just 300 fans for the Heart Radio gig at Orchid.

Before launching into No Regrets he came out with another gem, saying: "I really should sing this for GARY BARLOW and JASON..."

His cracking fiancйe AYDA FIELD was supporting from the wings and he dedicated You Know Me to the stunning actress.

Robbie gave the crowd what they wanted to hear with a terrific setlist. But a third gag about Mark didn't go down too well.

He was booed when he said: "I'll look like Mark Owen by the time I come off."

Then he added: "I shouldn't have said that, should I?"

Playing a small gig in London, the popstar, who has battled drug and alcohol addictions in the past, said it was a "surprise" that he had not been the one to hit the headlines for the wrong reasons this week.

Before launching into his first song, Bodies, he told the 300-strong crowd: "This is going to be one of the best nights of my life. Do you know, it's nice to be one of the only ones out of Take That not in trouble this week. That's a surprise, isn't it?"

Williams's former bandmate Mark Owen confessed earlier this week to battles with womanising and drink.

The 38-year-old checked into a "private clinic" after apologising for having a string of affairs behind his wife's back and revealing he had an alcohol problem.

The pop star and his wife Emma, who have two children, married only last October but have been together for five years.

Williams's one-hour set was organised by the Heart radio network as part of Heart Love Music Live, with the audience made up of competition winners.

Some 2.4 million people had called for the exclusive tickets.

The singer entertained the crowd with songs from his latest album, before launching into his old hits, including Rock DJ, Feel and Supreme.

Announcing he was dedicating No Regrets to Take That, a request from the crowd led him to dedicate the song to an audience member. Williams also sang recent single, You Know Me, in honour of fiancee Ayda Field.

Emma Hunt, from Brighton Hill, spent a week trying to secure tickets to the Heart radio station concert at the Orchid, and thought all her dreams had come true when, after hours on the phone, she finally got through and won a pair.

Millions of people tried and failed to secure a place at the Robbie gig, and only 350 were treated to the intimate performance.

But for 36-year-old Emma, her night became even better when Robbie decided to dedicate No Regrets to her.

The mother-of-two pushed her way to the front of the crowd, determined to be as close as possible to her idol.

When she shouted up to the former Take That star, she never thought he would acknowledge her request to sing a song for her.

She said: “When I found out I had tickets, I was hysterical. I have always been a huge fan and I was over the moon.

“I got near the front of the stage, Robbie grabbed my hand twice and I shouted up ‘sing it for Emma from Basingstoke.’ He said ‘Emma from da da da?’ and I shouted ‘Basingstoke.’ He then said ‘this one’s for Emma from Basingstoke, No Regrets.’ It was the ultimate dream.”

Admin officer Emma, who took her husband Scott along for the live show, woke up the next morning wondering if it had all been a dream, until she heard presenters on Heart talking about her on the radio.

“I’m still on cloud nine,” she said.
