| ROBBIE Williams's family have known of his baby joy for months – but even they don't know whether to expect a girl or a boy.
Some reports claimed over the weekend that Robbie had let it slip that the baby is a girl.
The Tunstall-born singer revealed to the world that he is expecting his first child with his wife Ayda Field last week.
Now the singer's dad, Pete Conway, has revealed he has known of the pregnancy since January – but is yet to discover if Robbie is giving him a grandson or a granddaughter.
Pete told The Sentinel: "We've known for a while. I'm so pleased for Rob and Ayda. It's fabulous. I haven't spoken to him about what sex it is, so if it is a girl, it's news to me. So many people have said, 'Congratulations grandad', which I don't mind a bit, it's lovely."

| ROBBIE Williams is in pink heaven after discovering the baby his wife Ayda is expecting is a little girl. The Take That heartthrob couldn't resist revealing the sex of his first child to friends and neighbours in their posh Beverly Hills gated estate.
And yesterday one of them told the Sunday World: "He's been showing off photos of her ultrasound scans and, yes, the nursery is already decorated in pink."
Robbie told the world "I can't wait to be a daddy" on his official website.
But any hopes he had of keeping the infant's gender a surprise were dashed when a near neighbour revealed: "He's so enthusiastic about parenthood, he's been buying little dresses that won't fit her till she's at least a year old."
Robbie, 38, who sang Baby Girl Window on his 1997 debut solo album, is making sure that the new arrival will have a room with a view fit for a superstar's daughter. He and Ayda, 32, have been blowing a fortune at Petit Tresor, the exclusive baby store on Robertson Boulevard less than five miles from their €11million mansion where they tied the knot in August, 2010.

The 38-year-old singer - who is expecting his first child with wife Ayda Field in September - splashed out on a black stencil graffiti canvas of a baby after falling ''in love'' with the piece, which he plans to put in his Los Angeles mansion ahead of the birth.
A source said: ''Robbie is really getting into his art. When he saw the baby painting he fell in love with it and wanted it for his girl.
''He can't wait to hang it in his LA mansion. He has nothing on his mind but baby thoughts just now.''
Robbie purchased the piece from street artist Bambi - who has been dubbed the female version of British graffiti artist Banksy - after his Take That bandmate Mark Owen bought a £20,000 painting from her for his 40th birthday in January.
A source added to the Daily Star newspaper: ''Robbie loved Mark's painting and knew he had to get in on the act.''
Robbie - who lives with Ayda and seven dogs - took up art as a hobby while preparing for Take That's 'Progress Live' tour last year, and he recently revealed he has commissioned paintings of his dead pooches with artwork depicting the canines in Tudor costumes.

| Робби с Айдой хотят назвать дочку турецким именем!
THE wife of Take That star Robbie Williams will give their baby daughter a Turkish name as a tribute to her father.
Ayda Field, 33, was estranged from her dad from the age of 18 until her wedding in 2010.
Now she and Robbie, 38, want to honour her Turkish roots.
A source said: “It’s at times like this that you want the family to be reunited.”
The tot is due in September.

Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field to return to UK for birth of first child
He may have abandoned Britain for Los Angeles six years ago, but Robbie Williams has decided the UK is the only place for his first baby to be born.
The Take That star is moving back to Britain later this month with his American wife Ayda Field, who is expecting a baby girl in August.
It promises to be a baby-boom summer for the stars of Take That – Gary Barlow’s wife Dawn and Mark Owen’s wife Emma are also due to give birth around the same time.

Robbie, 38, and Ayda, 33, have decided to have the child in London and Robbie has booked his wife into a top private hospital for the birth.
He has told friends he wants his daughter to be born in the UK and have a British passport. The couple, who married in 2010, are house-hunting for a place in Central London.
‘Robbie loves LA and they won’t be selling their house there but the plan is to come back to the UK for the foreseeable future and certainly until the end of the year,’ says a friend.
‘Robbie is also going to be busy with work as he’s releasing a new album later this year.’

Another friend says: ‘Ayda is ecstatic and so is Robbie. All is going well with the pregnancy.
‘It took them a long time to decide where to have the baby. Their main residence will be LA, but to Robbie, England is home and that’s why he wants his child born here.’
Ayda is said to be looking forward to spending time with Dawn Barlow and Emma Owen once the babies are born.
‘Ayda is incredibly calm and mellow. Both she and Robbie can’t wait to meet their daughter,’ adds the friend.
Williams has lived in LA since 2006 and has a £12 million mansion there. He moved back to the UK in 2009, buying an £8 million house in Compton Bassett, Wiltshire, but returned to California after just eight months because of the cold weather.
A spokesman for the star declined to comment.

| ROBBIE Williams is getting birthing tips and fatherhood training from Rod Stewart.
We hear the ex-Take That singer is starting to panic about becoming a first-time dad.
The cheeky chappie, 38, has told friends that playing massive gigs at Knebworth or Wembley is nothing in comparison.
So his neighbour, who just happens to be wrinkly rocker and dad-ofeight Rod, 67, has offered some words of wisdom. Our LA mole revealed: “Robbie and Rod live on Mulholland Drive in Beverly Hills.
“Rod’s been popping over for a cup of tea and passing on his wisdom about fatherhood.
This includes pointers on everything from what to do in the birthing suite to keeping his wife Ayda happy during the pregnancy.
“Rod said: ‘Give her whatever she wants,’ which includes writing a song for her if she has a long labour and singing to her in the birthing suite.”
Robbie and Ayda, 33, are expecting a daughter in the next few weeks.

| Robbie Williams is scared about becoming a father.
The 'Angels' singer's wife Ayda Field is due to give birth to their first child, a girl, next month and although he can't wait to welcome her into the world, he is very nervous about the responsibilities of parenthood.
He said: "She's in my image, a mini-Robbie. I'm excited but in truth I'm s**tting myself."
The 38-year-old Take That star also admits he has been experiencing food cravings like his pregnant spouse.
He joked: "I'm really craving Minstrels and prawn cocktail crisps."
Earlier this week, Robbie announced the release of a new solo album 'Take The Crown' and admits he is more "energised" about his music career than ever as he has connected with the record in a way he didn't with his most recent releases.
Speaking at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards, where he picked up the Icon Award, he said: "I haven't really been engaged in the past couple of albums but I'm really into this one. It might be because I didn't tour after any of them.
"I'm re-energised. I want to take over the charts and get my crown back."
Robbie's Take That bandmate Gary Barlow also picked up a prize at last night's (04.09.12) ceremony, taking home the Outstanding Achievement accolade.
He said: "Even though you don't do the work specifically to get awards, it's always nice to receive them.
"I've had some fun this year and it's nice to celebrate with some good friends tonight."

| Singer ROBBIE WILLIAMS insisted on returning to his native U.K. ahead of the impending birth of his first child because he wants the baby to have a British passport.
The Angels hitmaker has lived in Los Angeles for years, but the star and his heavily-pregnant wife Ayda Field have jetted back to England for the arrival of their daughter.
Williams reveals he wanted his first-born to have official British documentation, but admits the couple is still unsure where to live in the long-term.
He tells BBC Radio One, "I want the baby to have an English passport, but we're still figuring out where we're gonna (sic) live."
The singer, whose baby is due this month (Sep12), admits he is ready to go to hospital with his wife at a moment's notice.
During the interview on Monday morning (10Sep12), Williams added, "I'm going to be a dad any moment now, it could happen while I'm sat here. The bags are packed and we've worked out the fastest route to hospital. All I need is the internet and a computer for the birth!"
