DO you fancy a slice of the Take That lifestyle? If you have the voice and looks of Howard Donald – and can handle the pressure of international concerts and fan worship – your life could be about to change.
A Nottingham-based Take That tribute show is looking for a fourth singer.
They already have a Gary Barlow, Jason Orange and Mark Owen ... now the search is on for Howard Donald's double.
Tony Sherwood, of entertainment agency Dansatak, is auditioning hopefuls at Richard Herrod Leisure Centre, Carlton, on Saturday from 11am.
He said: "They will be billed as the Greatest Take That Tribute and they can expect to work around the world."
The three men already signed up are Nottingham singers Matt Holbrook (Mark), Lee Crimp (Gary), and Keith Dunne (Jason), from Liverpool.
Carlton-based Matt, 33, has made a full-time career as a tribute artist for ten years, paying a mortgage and supporting a family.
"You can fit this work around a family lifestyle and make it work, even though you are on the road and travelling a lot," he said. "I started doing a Robbie Williams tribute act in 1998, but I'm happy to step into Mark Owen's shoes because I have always loved the music of Take That."
Lee, 29, from Beechdale says taking on the role of his idol, Gary Barlow, is a dream come true. "Gary is to me what The King is to Elvis fans," he said. "I've been a professional tribute artist since 2001 – I've been Bryan McFadden in Westlife and Robbie Williams."
Keith, 27, is the only non-Nottingham-based member. He hails from Anfield in Liverpool, and you may recognise him from the X Factor boy band Divided.
Tony said work is already lined up for the act across Europe and the UK.
And he promises 'Howard' will be catapulted into a pop star world, where some fans follow the band on tour and even think they are watching the real thing.
"They can expect some serious female attention,." he added.
